One thing to note: your mentor has to be higher skilled than you. Tried adding a friend as a disciple but it wouldn't work.. He had higher skills...
Talked to a couple noobs today who say it's fixed for them now, as well... So let's hope it doesn't break again after Tuesday's update... :p
It's worked correctly for the last two I've had added.. Not the first one, though.. Must be since 12.1.1 that it now works...
