I've been having issues recently as well, the loading screen will appear, but the tip text doesn't render, and the progress bar wont fill....
While the interest was nice it was kinda a rich get richer thing instead of encouraging forum activity.
Might be wise to remove points from them as well.

This is generally caused by a old broken mission, try abandoning anything you dont have progress on or cant get again.
Yea, once you complete a daily mission a blue exclamation mark will appear, this means that a daily is available, but you cannot complete it again...
