The option only says "Show shots left" -- I've just left it default, so I don't actually know what it does if left unchecked...
I heard that after the server reboot around 1900 fixed the teleportation chips.
When you sit in the gunner seat, hover the mouse over the shots left and it'll tell you the ammo burn for any gun you're using.
