Looking for these elusive Bandits, I went to Repulse as Sniqs suggest. Ran from the Firebase NE over to 15198, 15445 which I found was just about centre of the spawn for the more mature Oratans - best mixed but in good numbers

A few days ago I took the pickaxe away from an Oratan Prospector Thug, does anyone know what the MU for this might be?
The furthest anyone's gotten is Vandals and all the info is in the table in the OP, but while checking it I did notice one missing piece of info in:
Mission IV - Oratan Prospector Thieves 30 days 100 kills each 2.40 ped Universal Ammo at completion: - rank
At completion you get the rank of Staff Sergeant
To be picky it shouldn't say 'Makeup Remover Rough'. It's 'Make Up Remover Rough'.

The spawn make-up seems to have changed since last week - it appears to have gone from a primary mix of Thugs and Thieves to Thugs and Bandits, certainly at Repulse. Was great for the last stages or Oratan III, but now on Oratan IV.........?
Taking appreciably longer now just to locate the 100 needed for the daily. Down to sniping the singleton out of a sea of Thugs and Bandits, rarely getting 3 or more together
So who stole all the thieves?
....or perhaps I'm just paranoid!
I felt almost the same yesterday at Implacable - but instead there were barely no bandits but plenty of thugs and thieves.
It's apparently VU day today so let's hope things change for the better.

Bad spawns for Thieves again today. I appreciate it depends who's been through before, but it must have been a bloody army that went through before me this evening at Repulse. There were more Vandals than Thieves and yes, they were also being hunted at the same time I was after Thieves so were regen'ing. And as for Implacable, managed to find just 6 Thieves!
I appreciate it is not meant to be easy but RL doesn't allow me much play time, just 60-90 mins if I'm lucky. And if this is the state of spawns for Thieves, I can see myself not bothering going for Vandals as I do not have 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours or whatever waiting time to knock-off the 100 needed within the 24hrs allowed
Shame, as this IFN malarky has got my PE juices flowing again. Last thing I want is a slap-down.
Hopefully, by the time I finish Thieves, the Vandals spawn will be sorted......
It is not 24 hours allowed; you can take the quest and finish it in as much time you need; is just that you can't do more than one quest per 24 hours; but if it takes you one week to get to kill 100 mobs, there's no issue (the only thing not sure about is if the weekly reset affects it or not).
Love is correct, you can take as long as you want to do the mission, even if it takes you a month. The 7/14/etc days in a row just means you need to do it 7 times total. It wont reset your progress on you.

Just to clarify: some people run around the spawn and only pick out the maturity they need. If someone like that was there before you targeting Thieves, there will be very few Thieves in the spawn. If the same strategy was used but on Bandits, there will be more Thieves in the spawn when you arrive. It only takes two to three people doing this to basically clear the spawn of a single maturity. If you're bored, check this IFN NEEDS YOU thread, in the beginning everyone was complaining "there are no Thugs", then, after a few days, "there are no Bandits". It's spread a little bit more now, i.e. not everyone is doing the same maturity, but it can still be a pain. We should get better spawns soon (next update, which was supposed to be two days ago, so I'm guessing next week?). So hang in there

Well I found that the spawns are based on time of day on Arkadia. On my Thieves mission I don't even try to go out when it is dark due to the mobs spawns mostly being thugs (both areas). I like how it's all setup but still takes a lot of time..and yes is fun.. I wish that they could add more spawn areas but keep the mix of mob as it is. The only thing they need to fix is when they spawn -- if they can. This is the first time I really needed to give my scope a good workout. I have a bad feeling that with the new spawn areas in the next VU it's only going to be area specific mobs spawns and that will lead us back to simple grinding.
