On our test machines, areas that used to dip to around 30 fps now run at 100 fps and above. Smoother world: objects and level-of-detail changes now fade instead of popping, on every quality setting. Frametime has been increased on all settings Several stutters and hitches have been reduced or completely removed Texture streaming has been enabled as an option under advanced settings to further reduce cpu bound texture loading Shadows have been reworked on all settings providing a more realistic and performant experience on all settings Low, Medium, High and Very High graphics have been reworked Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) has been added to advanced graphical settings Additional new Features New profession rank titles have been added, extending progression all the way to level 1000 Changes Tier-Rate Amplifiers now give a consistent Tier Increase Rate bonus based on the item's maximum instead of its current rate, so their benefit no longer varies from item to item. This effectively means that the current amplifiers will give +20 to Unlimited items or +400 to limited items The Ice Shield Chip's cooldown has been adjusted to 15 minutes and now uses its own dedicated cooldown group Raw fish caught while fishing can now be sold on the auction, and has its own auction category Auction categories have been reorganized so that fishing catches, cooking-chain ingredients, and cooked foods are now sorted into clear, dedicated categories, making it easier to find and list them Cooking recipes and blueprints are now organized in the auction into Cook, Nutritionist, and Provisioner sub-categories Codex tracking slots are now counted per territory, so tracking creatures in one territory no longer blocks you from tracking on another Bug Fixes The Void Umbranoid Codex challenge now contributes to the Attribute Meta challenge as intended Fixed an issue where the Void Umbranoid Codex challenge could appear twice, with rewards claimable from only one Fixed an issue where the Codex icon could indicate an unclaimed reward that could not be found or claimed in any challenge Fixed an issue where tracking entries in the Codex might block tracking on other planets New Setting Recommendations Medium settings are now recommended for low-to-medium performance hardware. If you previously played on Low, we encourage you to switch to Medium for an improved experience. We strongly recommend keeping GPU-accelerated UI rendering enabled for optimal performance and interface responsiveness, even on integrated graphics cards. If you encounter any display issues, please update your graphics drivers first, as disabling this feature should be a last resort. We also strongly recommend enabling MSAA (2x, 4x, or 8x) even on low graphics settings, as it significantly improves visual quality with minimal impact on framerate for most machines. MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved.
