Where did your Avatar Name come from?

haha I used to watch that show all the time when I was in school. Getting an elctronics degree and NOT getting involved in things like that was blasphame. I was too new in classes to actually get on a battling team but did get to do some fabrication on the local secondary colleges Bots.

As for my name on the forum here my rel name is Bill and the Cyborg part OI got a few years ago after having an Spinalcord stimulator inplanted in my shoulder with wires running up my nneck to the back of my head. This is to confuse pain signals froma an accident I had many years ago now. My friend even taunts his kids to try and steal the remote control for the unit telling them they could make me do things like their chores, change the channel on TV or simply make me a coat rack by shutting me down. Last holidays he tried to tell them they could make me make snow angels in the snow if they figured out the right buttons to push.

My in game ava name is much longer and drawn out story so Ill cut this post short and stop here.

My Game name is 'Chaser' it's been my avatars name on Entropia since they let us choose and I went to Atlas Haven. That was a long time ago..lol. The story for my name started out as a joke I wrote for a few friends on game, it goes like this:

"In the beginning, god created the Heavens and the Earth and god saw that man needed places to go. He then created ways for man to get there, and called it 'invention'. Next god created planets where man could test himself, and man went willingly to see these new places. Then god saw man needed 'things' while there but carrying them far was a problem, so god created the materials needed for him to make what he needed, and man started gathering materials for himself. But god still wasn't satisfied, he saw the gathering was going too slowly and man needed more, so he created a special man and gave him the power to gather it all with great speed and accuracy. This man needed motivation... so God created the 'Tower' that he would seek forever and he saw that it was good, and god named the man "The Chaser of the Tower" and others just called him "Chaser" and god allowed it, and sat back to watch as the mining went on.

As you can tell, I'm an amateur writer..hehe.

 

Name of my Avatar is a mixe-up from 3 character names of a Sci-fi Series I have read for a long time 20 years ago (Perry Rhodan).

 

Fun reading. Sure we did this before in the past on older forums etc, but it's a brave new world now My avi name is one of the boring ones, no great thought went into it at the time. Claire Lee DeLioncourt (some call me Claire,but generally my nick is Lee)

Claire is part of rl family name, Lee is variation on a rl name as well (Leigh) which I now regret since there are others ingame with the nick 'Lee' and apparently that is seen as a rl male name Delioncourt, well, I used to have a serious case of infatuation going for both the character LeStat and the actor who played him in Queen of the Damned (well really it was lust but let's be polite here

I used the exact same avi name only one other time, in another rce that spawned off of EU, but otherwise I've used a completely different name in all my other games, for my starter character (since lots of games allow multiple characters so coming up with different names is a challenge).

 

My name is simple aswell

Milena is a name i like, jingles is a little mouse in a movie from stephen king (Mr.Jingles) and Maranot comes in my brain because it goes together with Milena
normaly jingles should be my nick but in my startdays i run in another "jingles" in PA so i changed it to Milena and i´m happy with it

My nick is Ion, and its not from Romania when I thought of it.
I just saw myself as a particle in the big universe, like a Ion
And it's a nice short name, easy to remember.

My avatar was Milo Dabbler Morai.

Milo Morai is an immortal (by genetic mutation) character from a post apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy series called The Horseclans. Dabbler is just what I do, a little bit of everything. I suffer from 'repetitive aversion syndrome' (just made that up, hope you like it ), which means I hate grinding.

Have to make a new avatar when Arkadia goes live and will keep the Dabbler part and pick something else for the rest.

My ava name... well...

Bluetail - was my ava name in pre-gold PE. I lost that ava (luckily with little skill and items). John - well I'm just another "john" anyway . Erastothenes - a greek explorer (amongst other things) who was onto stuff but was also a bit of a mr. second / and I did want a somewhat unusual name. "John Erastothenes Bluetail" - confusing enough

 

hmm two completely different influences in my Marcus XeroX Cicero:
a) Marcus Cicero that old politician I had to write a presentation about for the latin lesson when I created the avatar.
b) xerox which was the name of some folder I found on my PC and kinda liked that name.
However I did NOT know that it was a driver folder for a certain company back at that time so no I don't work for them and I am not a printer either.
I turned that one into XeroX and made it my nick long time ago since it looked nice on CS tags.

 

haha I think I am the one that asked you if you worked for them a year or so ago. Xerox compnay along with Kodak are based in the city I lived in a while ago that is now only an hour north of where I am now. After seeing how they operate and treat their employees I think personally Id have to change it to Xerex as in the antifreeze. It does look neat on paper tho 8=}}

 

Mines really very simple.
Tayra is the name of a friend - its unusual, very feminine and I always loved it. Tayz is the natural shortening. FLLURGIL came from a doodle on paper. Try writing it (in script) and you will see , maybe, why it appealed to me.

 

Now that I have actually posted my Ava name in the contest I will say how I came up with it.

EU being the "Perfect" palce where nothing can be ugly or deformed (easily as there have been a few feeks). I knew having a female ava would more likely mean she would look good. I chose her first name of Corrianna as that simply reminded me of an old lady name for back in the wild west or something like that. I chose her middle name of Trina as that just has a ring of "Friend" sorta like the name Nick has for a guy..( any better off dead fans?) like yer bestest bud. Lastly I chose the name Xenophage as it has sorta a Vampire / Goth ring to it. A few weeks in game some semi nutcase woman I met that was into wierdness and witchcraft told me that it meant eater of the dead or souls or something similar.
Anyway thats how I came up with her name.

 

When I created my avatar I came up with a background, and decided on the name as an artist name, for a punk rock artist.
The name itself had no special influences.

I was born in the Stockholm region in northern Europe on planet Earth. However I was very small when my parents moved to the moon of Jupiter called Europa.

Europa is a small moon covered completely with thick ice. And under the ice there is a enormous ocean.
This ocean was a incredible resource for the Earth Goverment (tEG), suppling colonies and space stations in the outer Sol system with water and food.
Around the Europa space port a new colony rapidly grew.. Tuuro.
And it was here my family moved. Tuuro consisted mostly of people from Earth that had no other future. It was a rough place, where most work as ice tunnelers or in the food and water industry.

Tuuro grew for about 20 years. They did however not get a much better life. They were treated more like slaves by the different companies, with the full knowledge of tEG (the Earth Goverment).
Production was made more effective and soon many workers was starting to become superflous and discontent.
At this time I was 22 years old and me and a few friends who also never had been able to get a job started a punk band "Topple tEG".
We were very left wing and wanted the Tuuro colony and the space port in full control by the workers. We wanted tEG and the big companies out of Europa.

"Topple tEG" was quite successful, but we hardly earned anything and struggled for survival every day. This was also the time when I recieved my name, Dee Dee Deranged.

Soon trouble brew, riots in the streets started and tEG sent in some soldiers to keep things quiet enough for all production not to be disturbed.
Situation was tense and struggling for a couple of years.. Then the disater..
Something happened with one of the huge space tankers and it crasched into the space port. Thousands of people died, inlcuding my parents. Atleast I think so.. No bodies have ever been recovered.

Everything changed. No more discontent among the workers. Everyone started to help each other and production kept going. All waiting for tEG and the big companies to come to the rescue and rebuild the space port.
But they never did.. As no big ships dock no cargos was sold and soon no salories was paid when the companies shut down production.
Panic started when everyone realised that we all were stranded here and would never get any help. Chaos and anarchy roamed for some time. Until a group of workers and soldiers managed to seize control of one of the production units and resume supplying the population with food and water.

As far as I know the Tuuro colony still lives, but only as long as they have spare parts to run the production unit.

As at that point a small recruit ship managed to land and I was one of the lucky few who got on it and came here to Calypso.

I arrived in Port Atlantis a wonderful day. The sun was shining and I felt wind in my hair.. First time I ever experienced things like that.
Calypso is a paradise for me.. I never feel cold or hungry, things I have experienced almost every day in my life prior to coming here.

When coming here I had no money, no friends, no possessions and no useful skills, as I never had a real job. But all that has changed adnd I feel very blessed to have been given this new chance.. This new life!

Jaqui < because its my name. Rockchick < Coz I is. And Jovi < Coz I wouldnt kick him out of bed for eating toast!

 

hehe I used to see Jon and the boys as a bar band back in the day...Jon is short..really short. He IS very pretty so I will give you that. Last time I saw him he was being escorted from the hotel room to the bar downstairs by a blond in lingerie that was a good foot and a half taller.
The after concert party was interesting to say the least.
