At first, Mindark asked planet partners to develop local economy by creating planetary specific minerals, loots and blueprints. Arkadia is the only planet other than Calypso does this right, but seems like everything went wrong since the update of Planet calypso update 2012.5, which released abundant new looted weapons which alot superior than those crafted weapons. Then update comes after that every planets adding new weapons follows the new eco standard, the weapon-crafting business is like BOOM drop down to almost nothing. Then the sharpnels and explosive blueprints, which make those gamblers don't even need to buy resources from any other players at all. The Vu comes last week released even more (L) Weapons from mobs in Calypso, Cyrene and Arkadia, from what I see it Mindark cutting down the economy bit by bit. The connection of Hunting, Mining and hunting is almost fell apart, I mean crafters can gamble with Explosive bps and no longer need to buy oils from hunter or minerals from miners, they don't need to craft weapons because no one would buy it anyway since there are way superior guns drop from mobs and almost always available on auction. Hunters don't need to sell oils or loots to Crafters since they don't need to gamble on Simple I or Clothing bps. Same thing happen to miners which the markup of alot minerals drop to ground, which is already bad before the Mining Mania, and got even worse after that. Where are we exactly heading to with the shape of current economy? I mean working economy? even Calypso is "not that working" any more(compared with what it was). Don't even need to say to other planets.
