Just occurred to me, might audiobooks also work for your friend? Because, if I were forced into resting, I would swallow everything by Robert A. Heinlein again. And 'Time Enough For Love' is the book of books. It's a ride of experience you're not gonna forget. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj4TJ7ncispSVBnu7uhGAiQ
Ah thanks, that's a great idea! I didn't think about audiobooks as an option. (Probably because I tried some when they started to become more common, but was rather disappointed with the quality at the time. Reading a story well is a skill too.) But you've made me look into it again, and I've found some titles that were done very well. Thanks for the suggestion: it's indeed the turning of pages that makes normal books impractical. So audiobooks are a good alternative. And it opens the door to a huge choice of good books. With Heinlein being on the 'must read' writers list for sure.
Here is the list that comes in my mind and I recommed to watch: Animated movies: The secret of Kells Song of the Sea Anime series about online games: Log Horizon Sword Art Online mini serie: Anzac Girls Comedy serie: Garfunkel and Oates Movies: The Libertine Documentaries -- subject: Red Obsession -- wine Twenty Feet From Stardom -- backup singers
not to forget the best tv show there was: recommended documentarys is a kinda difficult topic, most dont offer a solution and just have pretty asthetics: and some make you aware of the small things in life/nature: same as le sable by denis delestrac who thought about sand before?!
should make you think about treating your tires more friendly on a serious note, i showed this to a "holywood-hating" guy and he loved it by shear unexpectedness and potential discussion. better not watch the trailer and just dive into it. cool sound and great camera p.s.: hope your friend is better now and recovering quickly
I'll suggest a comedy called Just Visiting. And the french version is very different Les Visiteurs Here's the trailer: Also Firefly, Wonderfalls, or perhaps a little Monty Python? Or... maybe something shocking like the Star Wars Holiday Special circa 1978...
