I've stopped regular mining around december 2013 because losses were too big for me. Even if i've managed to get hit rate around 30-32% i've noticed that overall tt was always dropping so no matter how/where and when i've mined returns became unacceptable. Since then i've checked underground and surface few times but it was still big loss. Maybe i'll try mining later this year but for now I don't know how to improve my runs.
Everytime I go mining, my runs range from 50 drops to so far, the highest was 250 drops. Mostly Ores. That means with a lvl 5 amp, my cost per run ranges from 155 peds (+50 probes + half a full level 5 amp decay and mu, f106 decay, extractor decay) to about 700 peds peds. With most of my runs consisting of only 50 drops, thats hardly enough to break the bank. I don't even global much and my returns range from 40% TT to about 150% TT (not including MU). But over a period of weeks, months, I am doing fine. And I don't even make runs daily, since it depends on amp, free peds, time availability. So yeah, am not one of your "ALL" who are saying you need to cycle 300 bucks a run. Try cycling 15 bucks for a start. Works for me Or 5 bucks, which is 50 drops unamped per run.
I wanted to quit from Oct to Feb too when the average TT return was around 92%, but it's improved since then.
Please I beg you all.. STOP tellin people how to mine. specially people who have been doing it for YEARS. When I mine I run minimum of 100 ped on bad days but avg more in the 500 ped per run range. I use the rookie, the md10, the 101, the 103, the 105, the 106, a terramaster4, a tk 320 and a vrx 2000 during my runs. I don't need neils scrap maps to show me where shit is as I have mapped far more then ALL of his player base way more accurately then his maps show. I can stack between 6 and 20 claims within the two rings on radar in any of my favorite places to mine and have shown people I trust screenies to prove it or had them come watch. On non event days unamped I get a hit rate now of 1 claim every 5 to 7 drops average ALL usually level VI claims.. NO VARIATION. The day before an event starts that claim rate goes to 1 in 12 to 15 drops and the claim sizes drop from VI down to II IV and V. I get a claim with an X in it about once every 5k turn over and if I mine everyday I get a global about once every month to a month and a half.. You cant tell me mindark does not have some setting on individual avatars that determines what they get back as before when I first started I got a whole range of claim sizes and frequencies. now its so predictable I can tell nearly within a ped or two what my tt return will be 25 drops into a run. Neil stop tooting your horn on yer program real miners don't give a shit we have and use our own info. and for gods sake stop telling new people yuou have half a clue let alone act like the mining god you think you are.
LBML is not my program. Your comments indicate that you do not understand how to use LBML to mine. I have recorded exact TT returns from over 100 avatars and can say that mining is not about so-called avatar luck, it's about using proper techniques. Blaming poor returns on avatar luck means you don't know how to mine properly. I have excellent returns and so do my miners. If you follow my advice your returns will improve. If you choose to ignore my advice, then quit whining over and over about your poor returns.
I don't whine about poor returns I put out information of the changes to mining when events are being run and how it effects miners. As for your advise it is nothing anyone with common sense hasn't learned. You are just regurgitating old school methods of straight line bombing with one finder. Any success you have had since you started has been off the backs of others you roped into telling you where they spent money to find everything. Bottom line is have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up trying to sell your self righteous greatness to people who don't give a shit. You wanna teach the basics of mining rock on but its far and away not the only functional method nor is it the best with all the changes happening. That method works on one principle.. Cycle cycle cycle. Build up a sufficient loss to get that shot at the lottery for payback. PERIOD.
Honestly... how is any of this really constructive? People give advice to maybe help you improve your situation and you lash out at them out of complete jealousy and frustration. Perhaps it is you that needs to take a step back, have a coke (or pepsi as they are superior), and smile. There are several of us that do quite well mining.
Frustration yes.. Jealousy hardly. As for people giving advise Neil isn't doing that he is only blowing his own horn promoting himself and his use of his "Society" and LBML whatever his connection may be to that to further his success.. Rich people on the other hand that can drop unlimited probes with level 13 amps in the gambler havens aren't miners to me they are merely exploiting the biggest flaw in the game as far as I am concerned which is what holds back the game from reaching a quarter of its true potential as its too pyramid scheme'ish to flourish. Things like that are killing mining along with Mindarks market manipulations. AS far as my soda intake it MUST be with Scotch or Bourbon the make of the mixer does not matter. As for your success rock on if yer happy as MA will jam it in yer ass when they are done with us low revenue players and they finish chasing us away. I understand you are merely protecting your interests but I will always say it like it is so new people and old can take a step back and see the reality of all this. AS many others have learned poking the bill with a stick doesn't slow me down it only motivates me.
Actually, teaching people how to improve their returns lowers my own since mining is PVP. I only "toot my horn" here so you don't lead people astray telling them that 60% TT returns are normal. Anyone can get at least 90%. But if you like to mine with methods that give you low returns, please do, it increases my returns.
ur basically saying that someone needs to lose for u to win.. but u dont seem to even consider the fact that maybe the loot is just so bad to others they cant hit to ur magical 90% tt return because well.. someone needs to lose
No, we win on markup not TT return. Overall (playerbase) TT return on probes/TT of amps is max 100%. Mindark takes decay of finder and tools. So normal TT return for a normal miner is around 95%.
