I was following a friends suggestion on taking screenshots,but I was trying to do it and for some reason I get a blackscreen? method:Hit PRTSC.....then open paint and try to paste it. All I'm seeing is a big black square.:surrender: Please Help!
Download FRAPS it doesnt have the problem. the black problem is windows and AEGO. If you right click on the Etropia Icona nd then got to combatbity and the tick on Desktop Enchancements whille solve it

Fraps runs all the time when you play any games. You can customise the key you want to use to take the screenshot OR video, and specify where you want the image stored, and in which format too... quite clever. It also lets you define whether to overlay the frames per second (FPS) on the captured image or not... which is handy if you want a clean screenshot.
Yay!! I did with Fraps..One Question:tried to upload it from my screenshot file and I think it was too big.How do you minimize the upload out of fraps folder/document?...But YES!!!!..I'm getting techy..Whoo Hoo!!...
It could be that fraps is saving your file into a wrong format, if you open fraps and press on screenshots then change the image format from BMP to JPG. those files will be smaller yet have about the same quality. if you can not change it because you are not registerered user, then open your screenshot with paint. then select save as, and change the format to .jpeg or .jpg doesn't really matter much, if done your screenshot will result in a screenie of 500kb instead of 5500kb. so thats a big diffrence. After that all you can upload it by pressing the add image button here on the forum.
As far as I know, the free version of FRAPS only allows you to save screenies as a bitmap, at least my version works this way. As it's been said, to decrease file size, you need then to convert BMPs to JPEGs before uploading.
could be same fix as for Tracker black screens entropia eniverse.exe properties / composition must be checked
Remember, if you do as T79x said.. Entropia tracker can take screenshots for you automacially when you global - so you dont have to remember in the frantic cheering to hit "print screen".. Right click entropia.exe select properties.. Then compatability mode.. check the box called "desktop composition 'thingy'"..
