Grats to the winners, those went a bit higher than I anticipated. some concerning comments today though. I logged in today to hear one of the ark officials trying to contain his excitement about coming apartment shops(I thought the shops at the base of apts already fill this role)......which would be a horrible idea, and is a slap in the face for anyone who bid on the booths. I feel bad for everyone who thought they were getting a limited resource with a booth. It appears no lessons have been learned from Calypso regarding over-saturation.
Apartments to my knowledge will never have the ability to drop and price items because at the point they no longer are apartments they are then infact shops. But they have always had the ability to have shop keepers put in them so you can sell items that to me is fine.
lol i bet his sale will be high lol. as a know pirate i dont know many who will buy from him. Well not any older players maybe some new ones but i see his sales being very low
Piracy is part of the game, you really shouldn't focus on that. Scamming however is not and should not be forgotten.
Pirate or not, if the MU is good there will be sales. Sure nobody likes being looted in space but it's part of the system. MA put it there. Each side has there own tricks around them and both sides use them, except we are more criticizing of them when they use em. Let's not be so negative be optimistic and supportive. I think your failing to see the good out of this.
Piracy is part of the game, so is choosing who you buy from. Would I buy from a known pirate with the possibility that what I'm buying is stolen goods, and in doing so give him further incentive to continue his piracy? Be supportive of a pirate? screw that.
Ok, as the thread is starting to get out of hand now about a totally unrelated issue, so please stay away from :fight: discussing :fight: piracy issues instead congratulate the new entrepreneurs, as I bet they will do their best to work with and for the community no matter who they are elsewhere.
Agreed but what about the rumors FORGO is saying this would effect the value of any shop or apartment in the future.
I think it's extremely unlikely MA would allow anyone to turn an apartment into a shop, other than with existing means (shopkeeper). It's not going to happen. Would be nice though, I'd support the move, just as I'd support allowing us to upgrade our quads to privateers.
I can confirm that the apartments will not have features like shops other than those they already have such as being able to place shopkeepers. As far as FORGO rumor that is all it is "A RUMOR" David himself had this to say about it "[12:53:54 AM] Dave Dobson: I can confirm that the rumor is not true". So to put everyone at ease this rumor is squashed.
