I like you have stuff to sell but the idea is to have either one person buying and selling just about anything or a market setup where people can choose to buy or sell like a swap meet
you can buy all or nothing or just a few things if you like. and if you want stuff we meet and swap items, like money for hides etc. :biggrin2: i meet the party intrested in things ingame, then check the MU on stuff in auction and usually give a lower MU as lowest buyout. since we dont have player shops like in other MMOs, you have to buy an estate for that. we cant do flee market or yard sale style selling thus we must find other ways to barter our goods.
why cant we do flea markets where you just stand there and sell/buy also im selling hides do you neecd to buy any
Port Atlantis used to look like that....so did Twin Peaks at one time....yes, I would love to see the Quarry looking like that, it would mean a health Ark economy and overall game
To have a healthy economy the entire auction system needs an overhall. You need to be able to actually sell low value items or small satcks without making a loss, to encourage beginners/ non depositers or low depositors to actually join the economy. Most beginners have to TT their loot, making a loss and not helpiing the economy. This is the biggest issue with the economy in my view! That and screwing with crafting by creatures dropping weapons etc! Make all gear crafted (certainly all (L) gear) and to craft anything requires minerals and hunting loot and you'll reestablish the interdependency of the three professions!
what i actually meant were those player shops which tend to be afk player selling their stuff in a temporaily shop to give an example for the flea market sales. i do agree with the player base being bigger and a healthier economy will benefit the game. :yay: thanks for the bumps :biggrin2:
I liked that system in a game I played: You could buy a temporary market stall, which was only working (and counting down the remaining time) when you were online. The nice thing about that, was that there was interaction. Like a RL market: browsing and talking with the vendors. The good/fun/chatty stalls always had some people gathering. More social, more traffic. And because you paid for the stall (L) itself, there was no added tax/fee. So you could list a lot of small stacks without any problems. Though I guess that in EU playing AFK is too engrained for anything like that. Still, I liked those social dynamics. Oh well, it's almost Queensday: so I'll go and enjoy the free-market there. (Hidden bump.)
yeah I found someone whose willing to buy so now it's for people to sell to me. There's too much info being given freely. New players get good info which breaks the economy. they no longer sell small loot cheap cause now they'll hold onto it.
They only hold onto it if they can afford to keep depositing. When I started I had to sell to continue playing. And this doesnt break the economy, just reduces your margins potentially.
:biggrin2: actually i did this in another game too. earned lots of money and cash shop items only trading and setting up shop. maybe it was my good prcing or the funny shop names i came up with...
was out mining and added some Balancing Agent 128 23.04 PED STORAGE (Planet Arkadia) found other resources but i think not in a resonable quantity. you could always ask if you looking for something specific. :biggrin2:
particularly buying sweat hopefully under 2ped/1k the positive though is I can be your constant buyer.
i do have some of this sweat you talk about. maybe 3 to 4k not sure atm but under 2 per k seems like a reseller deal, doesn´t it?
