And so, with the new VU coming out, we'll all have to start all over again. What we learned about places to mine for certain things is gone now. The planets been thrown in a blender and then dumped back out, so we start all over from scratch.
I'm going to take a guess that less of the Calypso stuff will be found and more of the Arkadian stuff to fit with the blueprint overhaul mentioned. Intresting to see how this works out, could be great if done right, could be really bad if not.
But you will soon get new good mining spots Abe.. this update will hit us all equally hard - maybe even the crafters hardest, but just wait.. after less than a week its gonna be all good and we are all back to usual (and hopefully better) business..
With a little luck, some of the TT-fodder mined resources will actually become of value. I'm thinking particularly of yulerium, but I'm sure there are others.
I am finding most calypso resources .. mining has definitely gotten worse...very dead for me now...I will lose on this trip i'm on now for sure unless I hit something like a global ..All the good average loot seems gone..
very quick, can't confirm Mayana. Mined a bit on the quarry island, found Hydrogen and Florican, a bit of Yulerium and only few Binary and Nexus. Have fun!
Well it was a 75+ ped mining loss for me so now my dwindling ped card says don't log back in. i'm kinda afraid to :/
My first new mining run I waited until today and went back out, same area, well known to me and same route with landmarks to keep it simple. Usually on a 'enmatter only' run here I got lots of oil, it saved me a few times when peds were low, but today, well here's the report: Started from Celeste Outpost went NW to the small mts and then NE to the larger one nearby, mined until I used up the bombs I took (25ped) and found, not oil at all but 6 different enmatters, all small to 'tiny' hits but that's to be expected after a VU, it takes a few hits to get back to any size, the random number generators need a restart too,lol. Total ROI: 35% have laid aside enough ped for a few trips in different places, so I'll see how things changed elsewhere. Found: Alicenies/Solis/Acid Root/Edres resin/Somin Tar/Lyterian Dust
First profitable run I jumped around a bit looking, but went up to the NE. near the old city, and took 30 ped in bombs, after some dry drops, made it back with 37ped in Caldorite, not bad, found one tiny Yulerium too.
Have made a run form the Desert boarders in direction to the east coast. Made 2/3 of the way and only Ore I found was Lyst. Enmatter of three different types. Not sure if I am happy about the changes or not atm.
there is a vertical server border at around Lon: 16400; in the desert area, to the east of that border line, i got 100% lyst/oil in around 100 dual drops; to the west of that border, i got a full diversity of ores and matters, as always. finder was Z20.
Hi, did 2 small reconnaissance runs in small areas I've mined before. Z25 finder, dual drop, 18 (dual) bombs each, distance ~ 150m. Quite good TT results First run (Taipan area): Enmat Arkadia: Edres Enmat common: Melchi, Dianthus, Azur, Solis Ore Arkadia: Ospra Ore common: Zinc, Megan, Azzurdite Second run (Harrier area): Enmat Arkadia: Florican, Somin, Quil, Pel Enmat common: Azur, Typo Ore Arkadia: Ospra, Kaz Ore common: Megan, Iolite, Quantium The found resources are very different to what I used to find before VU. Since all bombed areas was rather small (18 tries each, imagine) there seems still to be a whole lot of different stuff in the ground. Positive: Melchi! Never found it here before, and I ran low on it crafting already ... Negative: No oil nor Lyst at all - maybe at other places ... Mayana, my last post might have been the result of a lucky run. Here is a result having more common ores compared to Arkadian ones. Sorry for your loss, lost too yesterday. But today the results was much better. Guess we shouldn't mine on VU days ... Had nice big hof right before update. Ran several 200 ped runs after seems all resourses are scattered, will wait till resourses settle before confirm locations. Small area in mid map had 35 differant resourses in it and of course only one of size oil ! Dont think resourses have settled into there place yet.
