    are these updates automatic or do you have to find and install them? I have been looking but can't find them so assumeing they are auto updates

    Yes they are automatic.

    When a new VU is implemented the servers will be offline.
    When servers are back up and you want to log in, the Client Loader download and install the new patch.

    You can check them in your Client Loader under Tools -> Dynamic Content.
