Anthony, perhaps tell them that the experienced players who have invested in their avatars tend to have more opportunities to do a lot of the cooler stuff in this game, as well as the access to most of the bigger competition prizes, but not to forget that for newer players, a lot of the economic activity they can get involved in (even selling sweat for markup, for example) is a result of the high amount of activity among the more experienced players. Perhaps you can explain to them that without this high amount of activity among the experienced players, the game probably would not exist.

I agree though, there should be plenty of fun stuff available for new players, because your point about attracting and retaining new players is a very good one. I hope we see plenty of new player opportunities in future.

Also, if you decide to run any new player events, SFE can look at sponsoring them with armour prizes too by the way.

 

Been playing over 2 years and I only have 1 crafting global..... All three professions really limits it to well rounded older players, although I like the idea of it...

Anyone can get 3 globals with a bit of patience, so anyone can get a price. Isn't it logical that the people who are most active and put the most dedication towards an event will be the likely winners?

But there are always events where everyone can win, but it does make no sense to make every event like that.

Nice pickup. We have checked with MindArk, and updated the stats in the OP.

So the two plate prizes are the UL and L versions of 10B, which have identical stats except for durability.

Yes, globals on treasure hunting materials count as mining globals.

 

Cyrus, could u also confirm that globals from open boxes in instances do or do not count for hunting globals.

I hope and expect events for every skill level and proffession but I think it's great to kick off a TEN year anniversary with an event that is more aimed to players who will have actually played many of those TEN years.

 

Thanks snape, I searched cyrus posts and forget to check chris's. Happy with that, instanse globals would have made it way to easy.

:huh: Then MA should reward those with 10 year old acounts :whistle: i.e. a special founder armor(that can not be sold traded). Plus how many have actually been around for the full 10 years? Without taking a break for a few years I mean really? And I would be so bold to say those who have been around for the 10 years are not the only ones with money vested in the EU you have new players that invest too. My wise grandmother always said Anthony you cant run a farm with just 10 chickens unless you want to go broke.

And I understood what she ment because sooner or later those chickens will end up in the pot and without new ones to replace those old ones what do you think would happen? simple no more farm!!:shrug:

 

Whatever they do they'll get whinners complaining.

A year of celebrations and people already complaining 'cause the first of many events doesn't suit their personal requirements.
