If you subtract ESI cost to chip out 0.13 courage and extractor decay, auction fee, time and probability that it will be sold, maybe you still can buy some shrapnel at low MU to get some UA lol.
It looks like Athletics is the reward for Stage VI (Looters), though I can't be 100% sure as I also got Concentration and Cryogenics gains on my last kill today. I was using Cryo chip so I would assume those came from the attack, and the Athletics from the mission.
It cost me 3TT koins to get into the thiefs village. Didn't spot the new reward since I wasn't expecting skills.
I can confirm Looters was Athletics - as I had both Athletics & Courage on last kill. Unfortunately didn't check amount.
so no more ammo reward since stage 2? i've just done 2 days of the second stage and no ammo as reward
well i'm on stage 2 of these dailies and i started doing them because i am low on peds and probably will be for the next period; i thought to myself that u cannot lose much on these mobs since they're so low lvl but to my surprise i'm bringing back in loot 55-60% of the ammo+decay each run. i am so dissapointed now really :S
Well, I am giving up at the Thief level, spent hours and found only around 20 :-( And of course plenty of all other maturities, I can't unsderstand why this doesn't work but I am definitely bored with it. And I don't want to pay 250 arkoins every day for an instance. Back to calypso, good luck to those who stay and try...
Just finished the Thugs quest. The Oratan Prospector Thugs mission gives Handgun skill. Plugging my skill gain into the entropedia skill calculator, it says I got .11 ped TT of handgun skill.
Excuse me but where i can find a more consistent spawn of bandits? i cycled all the locations with almost zero luck......
You are probably looking in the right spots with bad timing. If many others are hunting mostly bandits the spawn favours other maturities for a while. In such cases try to find an area where others are hunting something else so you all can get what you want or try again later. The same problem occurs for other maturities as well.
Ok thanks I got it. I heard I can pay some arkoin to do that mission in a smuggler instance, but cannot find any infos on it. Can you help me?
Definitely. I suspect this is the other reason spawn is bad and paying the smugglers may ensure it remains that way. This way requires arkoin equivalent to the claimed mission reward, so possibly 250 per instance for bandits, and 50 more for every higher level maturity. As you can see above it is 300 arkoin for camp IV so calculate back from there to check. Be sure you have the Oratan Punisher mission. Put the exact amount of arkoin in storage for a quick trade as the base may be overrun with L10+ nusul (and you are dealing with smugglers ). The nusul seem to have some arrangement with the smuggler NPC's so won't harm them but you will not be so lucky. Go to Cobra Digsite, face just north of northwest, preferably fly (due to the nusul infestation) into the bottom of the canyon at [27332, 27509, 222]. There you'll see an overhanging rock with doors under the overhang. They open automatically as you approach. Enter and move around the barrier till you meet the smuggler NPC behind the barrier. Talk to him and if you have the Oratan mission he will offer to give you the instance. There is no mission indicator otherwise. Pay him the arkoin, confirm you want to go now and you will end up at a respawn point in the instance. Heal if a nusul is using you as a pool ball while you wait as it is a fair way back from Cobra and the same nusul will still be waiting. There are around 24 oratan of your mission maturity in an encampment just across a little stream. They respawn immediately once two remain so mind where you are standing then unless you also want to improve your healing skills when they object to your presence in their camp. This instance has a respawn terminal, repair terminal and trade terminal, no storage, so bring what you need or enough PED to get it from the TT. You have two hours to complete the mission. There are Jori in the water. Their hides had good MU before this instance was launched. Some used to hunt the Jori before killing the last oratan just before time ran out. Once you killed 100 Oratan or two hours have passed you teleport back to the smuggler. The fastest way back to Cobra digsite is pressing T to teleport again, unless nusul are present who will assist you with a quick teleport. Enough info for you?
As always what you get depends on how much you have to start with. I started the IX oratan punisher series with very little dodge skill (<50) and got 71.5 points of skill for the first day but it dropped rapidly in subsequent days. I got 27.29 for day 8 and 19.96 (under 20) by day 12. I received 1316.97 points of dodge skill in the mission series (i.e. 60 missions) which is not bad. Someone starting with a non-trivial level of dodge skill will probably get a lot less.
You have to translate it to PED value. To my knowledge, all missions so far are designed that way that you get a fixed PED amount worth of skill for reward, how many points or levels this becomes depends on where you stand. I saw the distribution curves earlier, haven't studied them in detail yet though. I only did a quick keyword search for "dodge" in this thread to check if the fact was reported already. Damn, I forgot yet again to measure this morning. Was day 10, a few more chances to remember, lol. Was dodger level 20.0x at mission start and already got to 20.7, not hunted bots or done anything else to boost it. Pretty good indeed for such a small mission.
Entropedia offers a tool to calculate skill things. eg Start skill, end skill - tell me the TT value of the skill change; or start skill, TT skill value - tell me the end skill.
