i love all the arkadian events, and it was great to join the first one in the underground. i demand more of them! :gun:
You can't have it both ways. You can't complain things are dull and boring and want more content but then also complain when content is given but not under YOUR ideal terms. There are many things you can do in this game.. if you don't like it.. skip it. That's what is great about EU.
I think its ok to have official events on LAs. In case these are held on privately held, not jointly held LA-s (AU is sort of special here for now) there should be a transparent way these are decided, so that LA owners are not in the dark on how they did or did not get picked for the event. Same goes for having missions for LA mobs goes ... how about FOMA and CP mobs? There should be transparency on decisions so there is no playing favorites.
Foma and CP reference does not apply here. If there are issues with missions for these mobs, take it up with Calypso. Arkadia cares about their la owners and investors.. i cannot say the same for calypso. missions are on the planet partner and not mindark.
I personally believe this issue is very clear. Planet Arkadia is the Manager of the Underground and 8 Coins and as such it's our job to run events in those areas. Questioning the fact that the event in the underground is being done with a system not currently available to Land Owners is entirely fair to ask. We are evaluating this system with a hope that sometime soon the Land Owners will be able to purchase an upgrade to their LAs to run similar events. If it wasn't clear beforehand, all revenues received by Arkadia from the unsold AUDs and also from 8 Coins go directly into a marketing fund and hence are used to grow the game. The single biggest impact we can have for AUD owners and all Land Owners on Arkadia is to grow the community. In the case of broader planet wide events where Land Areas are included (such as happened with SC and 8 Coins a couple of years ago) all the Land Areas on the planet were included in a broader planet wide event. Our choice then and certainly in the future is to be inclusive of the LAs rather than excluding them. As always participants are free to choose whether they participate in events or not, our aim is to provide exciting content to the planet and to develop the story of the planet. The recent addition of Lars and Mathias is testament of our commitment to push that goal further, so you can expect events to be happening on a near constant basis (we'll be having a real focus on small events targeted at newer players almost on a daily basis if we can). I welcome a thread like this, I think it's entirely right to question and discuss these types of things. We want to be fair in all we do and the feedback from the community helps us achieve that.
