No more teleporting between planets - space travel only

Why do i get the feeling that the "estimated value" of the Motherships and space crafts of any kind just risen by a significant margin?

And why do i fear about the prices of space travel? Let's just hope we won't look back fondly at the time when traveling between planets would cost "only" 40 ped.

Bit double them First you deny this " Teleportation between planets will disabled when space is released. " saying that is Incorrect and then verify choose to travel between planets in space ships instead of using tp ... I read that as TP are staying and spaceship can be used to also travel between planets .

And when i read your reply i realized i had to expand the quote, because the part i had picked out gave the wrong impression. If it fooled you, it certainly didn't make sense

I guess they realized by reading the forums that their motherships wouldn't sell for as big a price as they hoped

Turning off the teleporters between planets sucks IMO. One of the WORST parts of traveling to CND was waiting for a ride and the daily pilot soap operas in the forum about who cut in line and who called another fat. Actually getting into the forking seat was another matter. I'd rather pay 40 ped and skip the pilot soap operas.

On the other hand, we'll see what shakes out. If things suck too bad, it might be worth the expense of buying a ship. I hope there are ships that transport more than 5 kg of stuff without having to use a transport service. Getting pk'd (is all of space lootable?) is another matter. The other potential upside for me is all those component bps I have been skilling for years.

 

We still don't know the specifics after all.
If Vtols with the right attachments can travel from planet to planet taking ages and needing to avoid the big mobs and potential pk'er like you were a 1 day player, it would be the first time where we'll get to "start over" in a different game.

Although given a choice between high Risk and extensive fees, i'd prefer a teleport. After i got a glimpse of course

 

I'm not sure what the big deal is if you never plan on leaving Arkadia?

 

To visit Planet Micheal ofc duh ... ffs

 

I just hope we can book a cruiser in advance so we can all party inside while we get to the planet of our dreams!

This was always MA's intention, and TP'ing between CND (aka FOMA) - and by extension planets - was introduced as a temporary solution until space was ready at the time VU 10 was released.

Space will be the essential divide between planets/games in a way that a simple TP fee is not. I really didn't think MA would go through with it, but I'm glad they are going to. Personally, I wasn't going visit Arkadia any other way.

Well this makes me sad. Was hoping the tp would act as a cap on price of ship travel. Guess I am just gonna have to win that mothership now.
