Thank you T79x and Nomad for posting additional reward information. It's been added to the list. Btw, that looks like quite a nice reward for stage 4: it might even make up for the non-existing trophy head?
I figured now that I completed the 5k mission I'd share some of my results First, I'll confirm that 4.12 LWT mission reward. Compared to similar missions, that is a massive reward. Also, I had 3 steel blue paint cans drop, so feel free to add that to the possible loot. My results are as follows. Note that I used a rather uneco gun for this (Herman ASI-R) as I wanted to both raise my handgun skills and my BLP skills. That did a great job of doing both in one while bumping up its (useless) tiers. Also note these results were done with some degree of accuracy, but I did have my limits. All hunts were done with universal ammo, but I did round results (spent and looted) to the nearest pec. That being said, with how I rounded, the total error in these results should be no more than 50 pec one way or another. Total Spent: 278.83 PED Total loot: 223.05 PED Total loss: 55.78 PED % Return: 79.995% Overall, that could be much worse, but it isn't the best. As I said, I used an uneco weapon. A weapon that has a damage/pec ratio of 2.9 would be about 5% more cost efficient, and as a consequence would have raised my return to about 84.2%. Better, but not great. I didn't keep track of all my loot, since I didn't want to bother trying to determine all the MUs on tiny bundles to truly keep track of returns on a puny mob. That being said, I'd estimate around 35-40% of the loot was ammo/shrapnel, which was lower than expected. However, since I started the 5k the day the hides started dropping, I can say that hides made up 9.32% of my loot. Not bad, but with the hides having a hard to pin down MU I can't say whether that'd help pull up my results in a meaningful way or not. Also, I only had 1 piron drop for me during the entire 5k run, though I did have 2 or so drop in the missions before that. I'd say that was bad luck considering I did runs of around 200 in size over the course of several weeks to finish this, but I did have 2 pirons drop in vault 1 for me over the course of like 10 of them. I guess loot is weird. Feel free to ask other questions. Overall, if the hides sell well and with the value of the skills gained (reward wise and just through killing the mobs) I'm not unhappy with the results. The MU on muscle oil/tier components/sockets should help offset some of the loss as well. Considering the time spent to do this, I suppose I got my PED worth Hopefully this gives some of you an idea of what this quest would cost. Any idea of the size of the 10k reward yet? Don't plan to go after it, but I might if the reward is large enough.
Thanks for sharing the extra info. That was not the greatest result, but not the worst either. An eco weapon would have brought it close to that rumored 90% return. And even though there was a little bit bad of luck too: at least you got some nice skills out of it.
I've been doing it with a jester D-1... I'm doing a little better than 70% I think... I never really tried to track my loot vs loss stats... I just play and say "Screw it!"
Thanks for the info, it's been added to the Loot list. It's nice to see that Puny can drop different sorts of weapons: very encouraging for a starter to loot an item. :biggrin2:
Just a comment about Monura (including males) behaviour - it is really annoying to have them dance around you in circles when trying to punch/slice them. So far I've been forced to back away until they realize I'm not close enough and come at me head on. Not sure but it could mean slight regeneration of health = more decay.
Some stats for those that love it; Kills : 12800 Average return : 85,09% TT loss : 113,05ped With MU from the hides and oils my returns are slightly better. What I noticed is that most mobs that I farm on Arkadia give a ~85% tt return rate. I did 25 Dromia runs and on 84,10% average TT returns.
The cost of killing these land at 5pec on average. (S.I Psy-blade and S.I Combat Knife tested on a total of 610 females)
