There are many animated gestures in the game. It seems to be very nice touch to the game.
And with the IFN forces I thought it would be nice to have military courteousy salute animated gesture... or two :) .
IFN Private Allice (hopefully not for long in that rank).

    Would be really cool. :)

Not necessarily that the reasoning would make more sense (the IFN thing is an Arkadian PP thing, while the emotes are a general client so a MA thing), but all planets have some kind of military forces or another, so why not - would love it. :)

All emotes are EU wide, there is a 'salute' emote that I know of, but that is it when it comes to military related emotes. (There is also a 'thing' - forgot the right word for it - to stand a certain way which could be viewed as suiting)

Saluting is something that was mentioned as possibly being one of the privileges of IFN ranking. [IMG]

It's a great idea, I'll follow this up (never know how long it might take though as it's not something A-team can do).

What I have said before is that we are working to have IFN NPC's salute officers of the IFN (i.e. once you become and IFN Officer you'd get the priveledge of soldier NPC's saluting you and welcoming you to the firebases (this is a work in progress currently).

Ah, you want to salute yourself? I read it as the other way around.

A salute animation would be a very cool emote to have. If MA could create Gangnam Style in 3 hours of coding, a salute emote wouldnt take long.

What is minimal rank to classify as "officer"? :)

We have the "stand at attention" emote but that's it.

Considering that the gangnam dance reportedly took only "a couple of hours" to make, a salute shouldn't be a problem.

From what I can see of the ranks in the IFN, Lieutenant would be the lowest ranked officer.

Thank You David. I was aware that the gestures are universal to the whole EU but I was hoping that A-team would be able to talk to someone up the command chain (so to speak and keep up with military terminology  ).
