Ok, call me crazy, call me a idiot (both suit btw :D)
But in my mind a trading place should be neutral ground.
And 8 Coins is not, its on a LA.

Whats my reasoning for this? no clue, it's just my feeling.
And since I am a Star Wars nut, I alway's have Tatooine in mind when I think of a trading place.
A obscure shady place with little houses and all kind of shops and trading booth's.
Some landing pad's surrounding it and a few shady bar's where you can meet pilots, traders, crafter etc.

Anyway, thats my idea of a trading place, and I think Celeste Harbour comes close to that.

    Regards,
    Ion

CH may be preferred, but most people seem to gather at Sanctuary Cove.

CH is a beautiful city, but it reminds me more of pa, even when the shops and apps will be open I doubt people will go there to trade. Hunters rather gather at 8 coins and s. cove, that's where it's gonna be I think but it's still too early to tell, people will find their favourite spot and others will follow

I dont see why ppl wont use it as the main trading city ? Sure newbs dont have the TP from the start but same gos for Twin Peaks. Celest also have all the terminals outside and to my knowladge its the only place on all planets where you can access the Auction and soc terminal without having to go inside a building. Realy it has a lot of space for traders and it also have 2 sets of terminals right by the TP

To me, a Trade point should have a vast place for people to gather, and terminals in open air. Command posts are too little (just like in Calypso) to contain all the avatars that gather inside.

CH would fit, if only the place could be a little larger...

Just keep the vehicle spawn assholes to calypso and I doubt it would be too small or laggy.

Trade ores at Celeste Harbor, and other materials at Celeste Harbor Military HQ tp ;)

I agree about the "Neutral zone" aspect, so my vote goes for Celeste. So far Sanctuary Cove is most crowdy place, but that's just because of surrounding great hunting areas, but for general "meeting and trading" place, it's way too small.

Celeste Harbour has taken the lead! David are you watching this! Maybe put Arkadian version of swamp camp in front of Celeste HArbour?

CH may have taken the lead, but it looks pretty lonely every time I visit :)

As a miner, I like this idea if it just would become true ingame also. For it would be nice for a miner to know that I'm not standing and shouting sales-rap to hunters etc. but on the right tp to the ones buying ores/enmatters :)

That is a good idea :)

Yea well the economy is not quite up and going yet. Even standing in a place with a lot of players you rarely see any actual traders right now. Guess making the main sweat location at celest and giving everyone that city as a start city would surely help alot. Moving the newbie training from all the firebaces down to celest would also help alot. When the shops and appartments come out I think we will start to see a rise in traders @ that TP, I for one will surely buy one there.

Speaking of not seeing many traders, yet... My forum search didn't pull up any easily found announcements from ore/enm traders on their locations / times. I hope I missed something, would much rather sell directly to trader than auc or tt (within reason of course, lol).

That is because they don't have times and locations that are established. Just ask around in-game I'm sure you'll find someone to buy your materials. Sanctuary Cove' Command is the first place you should probably look though.

The best trading place on Arkadia

Where do we have the best trading place on Arkadia?

As I see it it will be Sanctuary Cove - most ppl here at all time and its also here space pilots are.

It will help our economy if we just have one place to do Hand-2-Hand trades.

Yes Sanctuarc Cove seems to be the crowded place atm so most likely it´s also the best trading place. ^^

twin peaks was the best trading place on calypso pre vu 9.4 because of the multitude of people hunting argo there.
after vu 10 it remained the best trading place, simply because it was.
I would suggest you pick a trading place to give a big city a function. I therefor voted for Celeste harbour, because it is the "real" city.
otherwise celeste will become hadesheim, a big city without a real need to be there.
Sanctuary cove is already crowded with hunters, let them hunt there and if they want to trade, go to the harbour.

I voted Celeste Harbor and I recommend trading inside the dome between the CH TP and the landing decks. Here's why.

    1) Room. The SC building is already cramped, and there's not much room outside for space vehicles. For a good trading center, we need a bigger area and accessible terminals. It can be hard to get to the SC terminals when people are jammed in there. The building at the cove is just too small to support any greater volume, as it is, it can be awkward to get in and out of the building at times. CH has much more room. The dome is a great place for trading. There are multiple objects for traders to stand on for visibility and to tell their location. The benches accommodate 6 people at least, a raised podium, 2 or 3 people, a big balcony for a bunch more, and you can even stand on the raised wall if you want to.

    2) Facilities. At the Harbour the terminals are in a line... more accessible than SC, and more terminals are available at peak times.

    3) You can't spawn big vehicles inside the building (you can spawn the valkyrie, but the spinners somewhat impede driving, so there shouldn't be too much of that).

    4) Location. The dome is close to the landing decks, the terminals, and the CH TP. Celeste Harbor is just beautiful, with little garden areas, the docks and harbor, apartments, multiple TPs, and places to swim, fish, boat, and explore. There's a revival terminal nearby, but not in the dome.

    5) And perhaps most importantly these days, Celeste Harbor was built to be used as a space port. Trading on Arkadia is going to be intimately tied to space flight, so it makes sense that we have them close. The dome would also make a great place for space pilots to offer flights and display their space-worthy fighters and vtols. From the dome there is a clear view of 4 of the awesome landing decks, (with 4 on back side of the towers). At SC, we spawn one fighter & it takes up half the land area. The dome is the ideal place for the HQ of the Arkadia Space Agency and the Arkadia Space Fleet. Traders and spacers will both benefit if they are both at the same place.

    6) With trading and space flight centered there, CH can be made into the real, thriving city it was meant to be, which is great for everyone.
