In all seriousness though, I understand the complaints of people who say the shops are expensive, but in the reality of the supply and demand market, the prices have to be high as that is what the market has dictated...If people are willing (and they have been) to pay high prices to get what they want, then the prices will remain high. My booth at CQ cost me 9k PED so I'd be foolish to let it go for less than that. I'm looking to increase its item points too so does that make it worth a proportional % factor more than what I originally paid? Probably not but then the location factor also needs to be taken into account as it is what generates the foot traffic making the property worth that much more.
