There is a special Mentor sections on the forums where mentors are 'seperated' in time zones. Also keep in mind people that are +1 or -1 of your time (like me, +1 in the Netherlands.) Most important is to find some one that can actually help you, and speaks understandable English. I wish you the best of luck finding a mentor. Also, have a loot at planet calypso forums to read more game-related topics which are not concentrated around Arkadia only. (however, if you fucking live Arkadia, stick around and ignore PCF )
