F* Lootius, Fortuna is my homegirl now! Date ; October 20th, 3011 Location ; F.O.M.A. Fortuna The current state of the IFN's technical division is unknown. So are my previous logs I have been keeping for future generations to read once I am gone. Future generations that are yet to discover the Universe far from the Milky Way. But my previous story's and discovery's are nowhere to be found. Through loopholes in the rules and back doors in the systems I managed to write my log here, although the location seems very familiar. I have been away I must admit. Away from Arkadia and lost in the world of study's. I found out about an offer, channeled through the IFN from Earth's military divisions. They allow soldiers with a minimum amount of interplanetary experience to follow a study, which in time, will become job worthy if you get injured in the field of death and despair. These study's take away a lot of my planet side time, and force me to study that which I have not studied before. There is still one thing I manage to do on a daily basis which feeds my hunger for enjoyment and uses the knowledge of my studies well. One hour a day, I pick a dome at random. F.O.M.A. Fortuna is my new temporary home. And it has been raining gifts. These were some of those small gifts that will help me pay for these studies, as the IFN is unwilling to fund this for me. "I am against taking away valuable members of the force so they can study in case of injury's that can be avoided, not to mention cured easily!" I heard Harvir say. I must admit, I have to agree; but one day I might go back to Earth and find no means or will to return to the Entropia Universe. What will become of me then? Anyway, back to my topic. Fortuna. I have never been much of a miner. I am actually called a noob in that field. A noob! Despite all my battle scars and achievements I feel like I am ranked down to nothing more than a foot soldier... in training. On the plus side, which might also have caused my lack of keeping my logs, is that I got myself a new buddy. I got a Bristlehog pet now. He is such a cutiepie! And why I'm slacking on my logs is that all that I do, I got someone to share it with. He can roll over now. D'awww. Sorry, got carried away there. Soon, when I get my hands on a pet name tag I will call him Bob. Bob the Bristlehog. And I cannot wait till the day I return to Arkadia triumphantly to start training my pet Nusul! I have to go now, I will update soon. I need some good sleep before I go back to my studies again tomorrow. End of Log, Lizzy Storm.
Long weekend on Arkadia off with a good start! Date ; October 24th, 3011 Location; Arkadia Desert A long weekend off from my new training. Which is good news, as I heard about about sightings of a new spawn of Zadul near Aakas. I now wonder what took so long for the colonists to find these creatures, because this part of the desert has been scouted many times before. As usual, first things first, I had to stock up on weapons. I aquired 3 Philosophers swords to tackle the Zadul's with, and a single Emik Enigma 3 (L) to play around on Bokol's with. With a lack of pirates I made my way safely on Arkadia. Right off the bat I rechecked the written reports to get to the right location, and made my way to N/W of Aakas. I completely trashed my swords with one nice swirl in return. So I moved up to the Bokol with the Universal Ammo I collected, and I received another nice swirl. I don't know what it is, but since I started my studies I get the feeling my knowledge is just getting better and better and will provide for me well in the future to come. So, very nice. Took a little break mining, did a little trade and exploration. Not really knowing what to do with myself after that, I just made the choice of returning to culling Zadul. Now, I was rewarded with something great. So, I once again finished the run, with a little help of my disciple Mr. Muis, and went back to Bokol. Let's say I am enjoying clearing the landscapes of Arkadia from those horrible creatures. They look crazy with their bull horns, muscular body's and mouses tail. Halfway through my hunt I panic! I ran out of level 3 enhancers on my S.I.H.E.A.R.T. and nowhere close to a shop to replenish them. So I just continue as one does, and wait till I can hit the shops again. Which is a good thing as I have heard some have been remodeled recently and I am curious to their new looks. I will bring an update soon as I will be very busy this weekend, hunting and also studying. End of log.
Ups and downs of day 2. Date ; October 25th, 3011 Location; Planet-side Arkadia Camping near Aakas under the starry nights of Arkadia was just the thing I needed. I still call it home despite my recent absence. But what a day! First off; do you know how hard it is to study a book and hunt at the same time? Trust me, Nigel my Nusul has surely looked at me in confusion of my hunting style. My first stop of the day was on Zadul. They weren't handing out loot as they were yesterday, but I did increase my swordsman skills very nicely. Perfect setup for me to hunt them, Viceroy armor and a small stack of Philosopher's swords. Afterwards I found my way back to Bokols. Still a lot to vanquish, but I will eventually finish this IFN assignment. I got two small globals along my way, nothing special really, but I sometimes like showing off. Also knowing Bokol are due for an uber again, I cannot help but hunting them. A lot. Even if the loot is horrible. My aim is to get that uber this weekend, or pity myself when some one else does. And yes, my returns were not so great. I was thinking I might have to take a loan at the bank to finance the costs of my study. Who am I kidding?! Scrap that, lets have a siesta and come back later to recover from my losses. And I did that a little. A little crafting gave me a little extra to go out hunting, and talking with my friends over the IFN communication channels I got the feeling to do some team hunting. Kamaldon were a bad idea. We gave up on that pretty fast. Then we went Riptors. A small one. And some Papplon. Screw papplon, Nigel already has enough food to eat. What we needed was a HoF. The losses from this run so far had been pathetic. And boy, without praying we got what we needed. We went after Togolossi. We got a nice small one to begin with. And then we started to get Perceptions. And how much we want our perception theory's to be true, there is still no concrete proof of any theory being right. With pride I want to present our lovely HoF on Togolossi. And I am divided by what I like the most. The HoF was a really nice surprise, but man, I think this picture of me and Lobo is just a perfect, prizewinning feat on it's own. Over and out, back to chasing that Bokol dream. End of log.
Pets! Date; October 26th 3011 Location; Arkadia I know why they did not allow any colonists to tame monkeys from Next Island. Training them to fling... filth, can be a rather uneasy thought for innocent bystanders. I am happy at this progress. For many, many years we were unable to have pets. Even after many Earthly studies have shown that owning pets can be an actualy healthy thing to do. As those who will read my logs in the future, by now you are aware I own two pets. Bob the Bristlehog and Nigel the Nusul. I do not want to say I got a favorite, and if so, which one is it. Mainly to avoid hurting the other pet's feelings. I love it when Bob sits, and I love it when Nigel does his twerking dance. It is nice to have this little bit of company when you are hunting alone, or something to talk to when you are standing a long time waiting for the crafting terminals to finish your order. I let my pets be wild. No whipping, no brushing. I let them enjoy the unkept worlds I travel. One day I would love to teach my pets to loot my slain creatures. Maybe in time I can see my pets grow larger and fight with me by their sides. For now, I just like to believe they give me luck.
I lost my marbles... Date; 27th of October, 3011 Location; Arkadia Underground Well, of course I went Bokol hunting. I was just 100% certain that that uber was going to drop, but at the time of writing, it still has not. The molecular changes that have been recorded recently might be the cause of the creatures holding other materials than I have been used to. Never the less, I got quite some eye candy for every one. I have been hunting them a lot, I have received more of those swirls along the way, and with a few runs I had my disciple tagging along with me as healer or hunter. He now only needs 2% to graduate and I can't wait till the moment is there that he will. However... In the end, I did lose out on a lot of ped! I don't know how... but I just did. Which is a real shame. The only good news is, is that I was awarded with two new skills. Wounding and Combat Sense. No clue how they will help me currently, but all skills are welcomed. Reaching 170k skills took ages, and now that I am finally there, I wonder what will be in store for me in the future. Shifting my focus on other goals, I made the choice to go trade some which worked out well. But OMG it's so boring. Scrap that! I got some peds, I got some extra skills in mining. And this is the part where I lost my marbles. Every one knows, if you go mining, don't spend all your ped on amps! So I stuck with only one amp, the level 12 amp. I got lucky this time... Back to Bokol hunting, only 100 to go until the IFN will award me with the trophy head to hang up on my walls. In my apartment. If I had one, because I don't. At least Nigel doesn't mind. End of log.
Work orders extraordinaire. Date; 27th of October, 3011 Location; IFN Command Center It was dark for a few days. Damp, smokey air filled my nose and made my clothes stink. Quickly I was longing for the mosquito filled jungles of Arkadia, and realized that this 40-hour feat of strength had to be dealt with as soon as possible. Timer starts and I get ready. Bob is fed, gun in my hand, armor all equipped. And then... zombie dogs. Zombie dogs everywhere! No one told me they were this foul smelling. I was able to fight my way through 150 of them each hour, and collecting points did not seem that hard. In the end the stink and the darkness was worth it, and I know I will get a small reward for my efforts. Still, I didn't know how fast I would have to make my way back to Arkadia to shake off that place. Once I arrived in Celeste Harbor I was ordered immediately to report to the IFN Command Center. I wondered why. Was it me missing the last Oratan attack? My time spent on study's? Not even close. It was a friendly reminder of my work orders to eradicate 12.000 Bokols. Yes... 12-thousand Bokols. Now I am swatting flies, sweating in my armor, shooting endlessly at Bokols. At least I don't have a herd of zombies on my tail. End of log, Lizzy Storm. PS : Safety tip for zombies. Zombies are better than Zombies on fire. Avoid flamethrowers, grenades and rockets at any time fighting the undead.
Work orders extraordinaire #2 Date; 12th of November, 3011 Location; IFN Command Center Bokols! Why did it have to be Bokols!? Ok. I admit, I did volunteer for this assignment. And no, I do not think I was fully aware of what a horror this must be. 12-thousand Bokols! So I mapped everything out. 50 runs, each consisting of 240 kills. I use about 1100p in ammo, 3 cups of tea, 4 toilet breaks on average, 2 separate feeding times for Nigel and I sneak in a nutrio bar for myself while I am at it. Now, don't be disgusted, those nutrio bars are as good for us as they are for pets. Sugary goodness to keep me alive and well during my hunts. I'm now about a 5th through my hunts. 9,5 runs done, 2280 kills. Boredom set in and I wasted very good resources on hunting that I should not have done. Also some one else's resources. More about that later. First, I want to show a recording of what Bokol globals are like. For scientific purposes. Now, that you have seen (or ignored) the 37 glows of goodness, I can tell you about my other adventures this week, or misfortune. So, most of you are not aware of this fact, but I have been starting to slowly acquire myself a full Dune Rider armor set. To be honest, I do not really need it at all at the moment. But, like every other colonist, you buy when it is cheap. And so I did. I bought shin guards during Halloween Mayhem, and earlier this week I jumped into my Quad-Wing and rushed to Planet Calypso to buy a harness 100p below last Mark-Up. Needless to say, I am quite disappointed when I saw an even cheaper harness for sale today. Although, the cheaper part was only the bid. Later I went on and helped a friend in Aakas 10. Through chatting I found out he has done over a hundred runs without a single armor piece dropping. And the best part was, I was the one being over-excited seeing a Dune Rider thigh guard appearing in my inventory. However, that run I was aiding this fella, so I gave it back to him - telling him to hold on to it because I want to buy it later. Then the hunting. I must tell you, despite these recorded images, all in all I lost in the end. So what to do now? Seemed I still had a few ped up my sleeve, so after begging for an extra hand from a friend, I got to do a few more Yuka. But... in the end, I lost out more on hunts where I did not get any globals at all. I lost faith in Nigel bringing me luck during hunts. And I realized, maybe sticking with one mission, one creature for a while, can pay off. That, and doing 12-thousand kills over the span of a year does not sound appealing to me. I rather kill them all soon and focus on a new goal. And MY GOD! Why did that uber not hit on Bokol yet that I predicted weeks ago? Seems that the changes noted in the creature harvested materials might be cause of it. Further hunting and testing is needed. End of log, Lizzy Storm. PS : I love my music while out hunting, and this one I really loved to listen to during many of my hunts.
Regenerating Date; 14th of November, 3011 Location; IFN Medical Center Yes, I have taken a small break hunting Bokol, as some may have noticed. A 48-ish hour hunting binge, with the appropriate steps taken to acquire the right amount of rest and relaxation. In the end, my body was doing fine, but my mind was screaming and running around in circles. Two nights of rest and sleep later, the tables were turned. My body was a mess and my mind was just looking at things from a distance, with in one hand a pipe and the other a glass of bourbon. Needless to say, my studies were at a halt because I could hardly get myself out of bed. So I have taken most of the week to rest, and regenerate myself. Mostly because the Medical team advices me not to run into a creature without armor and revive at a terminal. While I have let my body regenerate, I made a list of what I still had to do on Arkadia. Find a buyer for Bokol Spinal Plates and Bokol Leather. Acquire a Bokol Leather Texture Blueprint if I cannot find a fellow colonist to buy the leathers. Update my mission to do list. There have been new additions for Arkadia and Calypso. Update armor list that are advised for the missions I have yet to complete. So many things to do, and so little time. At least I will not have to worry about Bob, he is still on Calypso. It is great that they were able to fabricate a hibernation device for pets when their owners are away. Nigel on the other hand, that is a different Story. I need to send a nurse to feed Nigel, because he is not allowed inside the Medical center. To make matters worse, I am not allowed to give him the food that is supposed to be meant for me. Why do I want to give my own food away you say? Because it is complete rubbish! It is horrible, and trust me when I tell you the chefs over here cannot cook. They must be Russians, scavenging Russians. I swear I saw an Ubo eye in my soup! Pro-tip : Do not eat the IFN food, you are better off finding your own on Planet Arkadia. Note to self : Try and find fellow colonists who can cook up good food from the Arkadian wildlife. I always wondered what an Ostelok leg tastes like, or a Kamaldon steak. End of log, Lizzy Storm.
I miss Arkadia *sad-face* Date ; January 15th, 3012 Location; Calypso Wait... what? "Can't you just hop in a quad and pop over?" Yes, I could do that, but I won't, and it might be for the time being I would only go to Arkadia on a whim. I will explain. School. The end. (roll credits) OK, on a serious note; I have been busy a lot with school. A LOT! Most of my time spent during the hours I am not at school is on homework. Fact is, I have been allowed to do this study in 1 school year, instead 1,5. So I have to squeeze in a half year's of school into this year. And I already started late. Good news is that I will be a certified administrative assistant and I believe the IFN could use one or two more of those types, considering all that has been going on on the planet. I am missing out on the Gold Rush event completely, I don't have enough time to properly hunt for bounty's either while it would be a brilliant excuse to finish my missions for the Nusul and Zadul. And most of all, I miss my colleague hunters in the field. And... OMG I gotta have a passport on the planet now! ... So you could say there will be a lot for me to do in the 6 weeks of summer holiday I hoped to be enjoying on a warm beach with pearl like sands and ... never mind. As you could have seen already, I am recording this log on planet Calypso. And I have been there for a while for a few reasons. Mainly crafting. There are still much more supplies for the colonists on this planet, and it pains me to pay more for these materials than I need. And it pains me even more these crafted materials do not have a good market on planet Arkadia. So, some eye candy, can't do without. But mostly I have been working on crafting Simple I Plastic Ruds. And I normally stand there at the machine, with a book in hand, learning for school. It can actually be hard to multitask these things! On my time off however, I have done a little bit of hunting. Did some solo, a little in Merry Mayhem and some in team. Although it is rather embarrassing to show I can still be killed by a leviathan. Over, and over, and over. But the most fun I had was hunting Marcimex with a friend, mowing down those spider-crab-beasts. We were lucky too loot a small mushroom too, which saved our returns the first run we did on them. For those that are curious, Nigel is doing great on Calypso. He hit level 12 not too long ago and he seems very happy about it. I just got a problem that he is not always listening to me. When I train his jump, he does a bow instead. I don't mind too much, I take it as a sign of respect to me, but if he were to respect me he should do what I tell him to do when I want him to. But he's such a fluffy-wuffy-nusul-cutiepie! I can't be mad at him. And then there was some one on planet Arkadia that told me he would train his Pandi and name is Lizzy, naming it after me, can you believe it?! I can't either, but I love this guy if he goes through with it. Lizzy the Pandi, it does have a nice ring to it. Time has gone very fast the past weeks, so I cannot remember all that has happened. But I will do my best to update my log soon as I have about 1,5 weeks off. I got some time for myself and a ton more ruds to craft! And I hope rather sooner than later I will explore the Arkadian landscape again and get that passport. Over and out! End of log, Lizzy Storm PS : I love you all, Arkadian colonists. I will be with you before you know it! For now, I will be there from a distance. PSS : Whenever I mention #arkchat, I actually mean the #arkadia channel, and I got some people confused with that. Trust me, you can't join #arkchat, not because you need to be invited, but just because it doesn't exist to my knowledge.
Weekend in Paradise Date ; January 17th, 3012 Location; Arkadia, N/W of Aakas. OK. I don't know how, but some one has breached my personal logs and has managed to read it all, resulting in some backlash why I am spending my time on Calypso, and not working on the Nusul and Zadul bounty's and helping to find a ring for her lover, Ned. I have stated before, I love Arkadia, and after some intensive nagging from this smuggler-loving- *cough*traitor*cough*-Sally, I gave in. A weekend long on Planet Arkadia. But first, I had to finish some unfinished business. Mainly getting rid of almost 3k units of Simple Plastic Ruds. Needless to say, my successful way out of there is reported below in the eye candy. After that, I was in search for more Philosophers swords to fight Zadul with. And trust me, that was not easy. My first stop in Twin Peaks mall was almost a bust. In the shop before the final one I visited I found a beauty. One down, two more to go. Second sword I was offered to buy from Sally, probably as an apology from nagging. Third sword I got from the Arkadian auction house, and I got a 4th toy to play with, Dehera Immolation Sword. Day one of Zadul hunting, I started my mission with 424 kills into stage 3, max maturity only. My favorite flavor of creature. On the 769th kill I finally got my first global. So... after a few hundred kills I decide it is time to take a little break to have something to eat. Once I came back to the field, not even being an hour away, I saw I had a message waiting from Sally. She found the Nusul Nose. Reason for me to be jealous, but that will also mean that every bounty hunting hunter will be found at the Zaduls soon. In the end, the spawn was bad, the loot was even worse. 4 Globals and 22 kills shy of killing 1k Zaduls I stopped and cut my losses. To be tried again! For now... back to Planet Calypso and earn back those losses while crafting. End of log, Lizzy Storm PS : I forgot to get that damn passport! *facepalm*
Weekend in Paradise; extended Date ; January 20th, 3012 Location; Arkadia, Ocean Lookout. Owning a quad-wing again does make it easier to travel from planet to planet. Having a not so good Sunday on planet Calypso I decided to move back to Arkadia again. I'm not really good at making up my mind on where to go and what to do. It was a last minute decision to join in on the Mutated Nusul hunting events. The first one was a short one. Half an hour of hunting with Sally Sal Bridges healing me. Globals were dropping all around me with a final count of 22, but none were granted for me. So I lost. Royally. Those other colonists kicked my butt! Half an hour break gave me time for a new strategy. This time I would not have a healer with me, I would be hunting solo. No problem! Fairly early on in the contest I got a very nice global, gibing me first place in the event for a long time going. Needless to say, as I was out of luck for the whole day already, in the last 15 minutes of the event, other people got some nice globals - bumping me down to priceless 5th place. (epically rolls eyes) (Again with the crafting!) Yes, first thing I did was to craft after missing out on prizes at the event. 5$, yes that is his name, was kind enough to loan me a blueprint for Explosive Projectiles. Has a short, but great run on it. Word goes round it is a very volatile blueprint to click, so I am happy I hardly lost on it. The next morning I started hunting some Arkadia Hornets. First fighting them in Victorious firebase, I soon realized that there are many, many more on the beach below the firebase. Making it for easier hunting. Upon finishing the first two stages I couldn't help but getting bored, and turned my attention back to the Zadul. Yes, the Zadul Brain still has not been looted up to this point, and again I wanted to take a shot. Again - this mob proved to have really bad loot, after an hour or two hunting and losing a few peds, I pulled out again. The losing peds has started to be a bit too much for me right now! However, I went for a change of scenery and moved to the Arkadian Underground. My best global of the 4 I had gotten on Wombana. Not to mention all the little multipliers on the loot! I recovered my losses for the whole day and felt really, really good about it. Right after I finished the Wombana mission stage 3, I went on a small trip on Mutated Nusul, got a fine little global and now I am only 1k killpoints off finishing stage 1. My best moment however, was back when I was crafting again. After all those losses and misery, I got it all back! I couldn't believe it myself, but it was really true! 1.4k peds in crafting Simple Plastic Ruds. Is my luck returning again? Later that evening I had a friendly conversation about old Trade Terminal items, that made me remember how happy I am to have my S.I.H.E.A.R.T. and how economical this little baby is. It is one of my prized possessions for sure. I cannot wait for it to hit tier 5 and be just as eco as at tier 0! And now that I am writing this, I am about to hunt some Dromia, these strange beetles will face the wrath of my Falx Longblades! *evil laughter* End of Log, Lizzy Storm. Tin Foil Hat! : Some one told me he discovered he got better hunting loots without having a pet follow him, and having a pet out crafting (or the other way around, I'm good at forgetting things sometimes.) But the whole day it did feel like I had better luck not having Nigel following me. (Don't tell Nigel, I swear I will hurt you if you do!) Needs more testing!
Paradise time extended. Date ; January 23rd, 3012 Location; Arkadia, Relentless Firebase Academy. OMG Dromia are so annoying! Now I know why the IFN wants all of them dead! They are horrible to hunt, it's hard to hit them, and they hit very hard back too! I managed to do the first stage before I needed a well deserved break from them. So back to crafting it was. Got me a nice one on 1 Ruds again. My go-to blueprint it seems. Yay me being a show-off again. Back to business however. I had a dream to discover the Arkadian Hornet Trophy head, it still has not been discovered yet. My attention has been stuck with Zadul. Looting that brain is tempting and it is a good excuse to work on the mission. This week my S.I.H.E.A.R.T. has hit tier 3.3, I'm close to 162 HP, I got some nice whipping and longblades skills, and that is all thanks to farming the Zadul. I have fallen off my religion however, I have started hunting them for the mission on low maturity's. Reason is; their loot on high maturity is just awful. 50% returns - one after another. I see my chances on looting that DNA part and working on the mission better at lower maturity. In other news, I have also decided to change my game play. Craft items I can acutally use. So now I'm stuck with nearly 80 ped in rifles to farm puny mobs with. *rolls eyes* It's going to take me a while to get rid of those. And while I was crafting it, I found a blueprint for a whip. And that is where the fun started. First of all, getting all the materials wasn't easy. I had help from a friend, the Arkadian sellers and some I had to express over from calypso. Crafting them was great, with a hof in the end, but skilling with them was even better. I gained many, many whip skills - and tamed zero pets... Yes, must include action shots! Earlier this week I also had fun on a healing job. A job for a certain individual that has not seen the "How NOT To Hunt #2" instructional video. The details were as followed; 115 hp, Pixie+5B and probably very little evade. That's fine to hunt with right? Not on Huons. But, I had great fun with a great guy. As I gave up trying to teach the man what to do, I saw that he just wanted to enjoy himself and wanted to get some gold encasing him. I have been told that when one is on Arkadia, he/she must have beer. So I'm going to open one up, and whip up some more Zadul. It's WEEKEND! End of log, Lizzy Storm PS : That brain is mine!
Lucky or unlucky? Date ; February 9th, 3012 Location; Arkadia, Valiant Firebase Yes, I'm at it again - school-. Is it bad news or is it good news? I believe it is good news, if it wasn't the exposure to surfaces touched by an uncountable amount of people and a mediocre air quality. I have the flu, going into my 3rd week now, and it is a nasty one. But as I was able to go hunting the first week I called in sick, I should've been able to go to school the second. And so I did of course. There is no reason at all why I shouldn't show off my learning skills which are in some occasions far superior to my other classmates, at least I'm not the odd one out because there is that girl that dresses like she stepped out of an anime cartoon. If you got to the point where you realized I was anything but in the mood to mingle with kids who are on average 8 years younger than me, noisy, smelly kids, I bet you got it now. Hardest part of my schooldays is pretending I actually give a f*ck about the people I am stuck with. Telling them is like trying to teach some one with ADHD what meditation is. And as annoying as being an OCD and some one colored outside the lines. My past weeks of feeling ill have done my fair share of hunting. I started and finished the IFN mission for Monura Males, but have been rather disappointed by the fact they are not distributing any trophy heads for them. I got ZERO globals but was happy enough I could break even on my expenses with markup on my loot. Now I am focusing my combat on Dromia again... my god are they still annoying. And with the universal ammo I am collecting I am planning to waste is on Monura Females. After hunting for nearly three weeks without anything decent I finally got a global, a whole 10 ped! With that in my pocket I did a little bit of crafting and got a 156ped hof to my surprise. So now I can work on some missions without too much worrying about my hunting funds. Now if I could only get an apartment to put my newly acquired Halix Figurine, I would be even happier. Some day... Besides all the hunting and feeling under the weather, I picked up doing healing services again. I really miss the fact that the IFN have not yet costumed a medic outfit for those freelance medics on Planet Arkadia, maybe I should put it in Harvir's suggestion box. For now, this is my outfit when I'm healing - or doing anything really -. I could put on a t-shirt, but I know the male hunters I give services would rather have me looking like this. (for those that are thinking about doing an inquiry about happy endings, save it, you're not getting it) With Valentine's day only a few days away, I can't help but to think about what to do with myself. Sally got Ned, he may have run off to Calypso, probably cold feet or something, we all know he still owes her a ring. And I'll let Nigel on the loose to find himself a lady Nusul to make happy for a day. And me? I will probably hunt some Monura Females and ruin the day of the Monura Male colony. End of Log, Lizzy Storm PS : I should really got out more... ...nah, who am I kidding?! PSS : Where the hell are those DNA parts?
Change of plans Date; 12th of February, 3012 Location; IFN Command Center Bokols, Wombana, Zadul. They have all been on my hunting list before. Either for bounty's, missions or both. Although, after being deployed a few years in the Entropia Universe instead of the Milky Way, I decided it was time to become a bit more sensible with my actions if I plan to stay here for a few more years. I have been setting up some rules for myself, which are hard not to break. One I mentioned before; 1 : Craft only what you need. Now, needless to say, some blueprints are damn right tempting to click! But I did well, I sold most of the blueprints I have, and now I am only left with enhancer blueprints I actually think about using in the future. And the important ones I have, damage enhancer blueprints, I loaned to a good friend. Now, my only two professions will be hunting and trading. Well... Just hunting, as I am a little bit too tight on peds to start trading just yet. Oh, and I offer healing services, I must not forget to mention that. 2 : Stop hunting max maturity mobs. I know, it's my one love in the game. Hunting high maturity mobs is volatile -a commonly used word here- meaning that ups and down are bigger than hunting low(er) maturity mobs. I actually made a list for myself and the rest of the community to help with hunting properly-ish. Go from lowest maturity mobs to highest maturity. 3 : The TT is not your friend. Yes, that is a rule, or more of a motto to remember. The Trade Terminal is not your friend at all. Yes, I still use it, but only on loot that produces no real markup or on loot that will take ages to get a proper stack for on the auction house. 4 : Friend - can't get enough! I sell a lot of goods to friends or acquaintances. It is often more rewarding and faster than selling to the auction house. Introverts, beware, you might meet some really really chatty people. 5 : Services for the win! Healing services. That's the main service I offer. It can be really fun when you got a chatty hunter, or really boring when you got a semi-afk farmer. In the end, you have free skills, and made a few peds along the way as well. Rule 4 applies to this too. Befriend hunters and they might once need some stuff you loot! I can hear you think; It's nice those rules, good luck, you are a positive thinker but it's going to take ages till you get somewhere! Yes, that is true. Then again, my goal is to last long in the game, have fun while I do it, and achieve some personal goals along the way. No one tells me what to do unless it's Nigel and he's hungry. Monura Female and Dromia are my targets for the next few weeks hunting. Finish off those missions like I have on Halix and Monura Males. There are over 40 hunting missions to choose from on Planet Arkadia, so I will be here a while for sure. End of Log, Lizzy Storm IMPORTANT NOTICE 1 : A certain Sally Sal Bridges is on the loose. It appears that this woman is in a confused state, telling me I am an über and that I need to become an Arkadian adviser. Needless to say, she has run from a locked facility meant to be flown back to Earth for mental evaluation. Do not approach and handle with extreme care if she approaches you. Call the IFN Command Center if you spot this pink-haired woman. Tranq shots will not be available from the TT until 3015. IMPORTANT NOTICE 2 : The flu this season is a nasty one. I'll take on healing jobs but will not guarantee you will be flu-free at the end of my service. These FAP's are unfortunately only able to cure physical wounds, no infections. In case of possible infection of viruses, bacteria from either bites, airborne or waterborne ailments, please go to the nearest IFN Medical Center. Link to hunting excel sheet : http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/max-maturity-hunting-excel-sheet.11689/ RL-PS : No real hate against Sally, she's a doll and a great Arkadian Adviser. This here is just all fun and games.
Damn those Monura Females! Date; 20th of February, 3012 Location; Valiant Firebase Yes, I killed a lot of Monura Females. Just not all that I need to kill yet. Zero globals. ZERO! How many puny's have to die to get a global around here? Not to mention the oh-so-slow tiering of my Omegaton M2100. Tier 2.2 from 0, in 16600 Monura males and 9600 Monura Females. I dare to say that it will be just about tier 3 when I'm done with the Arkadian Hornets who are next on my to do list. So, I'm hunting puny's. Why? Because I haven't done the missions yet. It already takes a ton of effort and time to complete an iron mission from stage 1 to 5 on puny creatures, makes me wonder how long it's going to take me to do the Yuka mission once I get there... Monura aren't the only creatures I have been hunting the past weeks. I had a detour around Dromia, Hadraada, even a few Bokol, Madana and Feran. Not so bad in the end. Hunting is with ups and downs, and I've got them too. Many runs without globals, and some runs with amazing globals. Like my 229 Madana I got on my 4th kill in my run, unfortunately I have no picture to prove it. I also started a new venture today. I created my own society. I got mixed messages from the community on Arkadia. Some people were for the idea, some others were against it. Reason is, I started thinking and asking the community about making an "über" society. Lesson learned that people do not what-so-ever like that term. So not it is skilled or well seasoned instead of über. 200k skill points to join, that's not that bad is it? In other news, I just dug through some old files of mine and found some pictures that were in my old, lost, logbook. The picture at the bottom I made when I won an armor set in an Argonaut event when I was still frequenting planet Calypso. Memories. But hey, I'm on Arkadia now, got a week off from school again, and I got to kill me ~7500 Monura. Wish me luck in this hell. Over and out! End of Log, Lizzy Storm PS : That is a real working tank!
Am I jinxed? Date; 23th of February, 3012 Location; Sanctuary Cove So, I created my society. Been spamming in the chats for the past few days trying to recruit new members. No luck, just a lot of maybe's and rabbit or carrot jokes. A few days have passed and I started to realize something; no matter what I do, Lootius does not grant me a global! *tinfoil hat time* I have not gotten a global for a few days after the creation of my new society. Am I jinxed? The last recorded global was on a Madana for me. About an hour before the creation. After that I did runs on puny mobs, no surprise I didn't get globals from them. At least I'm down to 4400 kills to do on Monura Female. A run on Hadraada killing 600 of them, nothing. Wombana, nothing. 20 Waves at the Nusul wave event, nothing. Makes me wonder what kind of offering Lootius wants before he let me global... So, eventually I gave up and offered to help my new society member Arrun with his Kadra mission. What the HELL Lootius? First you make me almost grovel at your feet for even a 10 ped swirl, nothing. Do something for a friend and that? That could've at least be a hof! ...or a very big global. It's ok. I'm not bitter. Yet. End of Log, Lizzy Storm. PS : Another screenshot out of the old box. My first, and so far only, discovery.
New Arrivals - time to work on that passport! Date; 24th of February, 3012 Location; New Arrivals So, I have finally put in some effort to start working on my Arkadian Passport. Long overdue, but that is mostly because I have been hunting a lot. Which gets me to the point, the New Arrivals Hangar has changed a lot! A clear view that Arkadia has been growing. As a Caly-baby, as some would say, I have seen Arkadia in it's earlier stages and never had the liberty to arrive in a Dropship. So, I pretended that I was. Not that hard. Hello guards. At least you are dressed unlike your colleague I met the other day. Silly man... Anyway, I walked into the office. Love the decorations. The Riptor statue reminds me how these dinosaur looking monsters can rip a colonist apart in seconds. The place looks great. Arkadia is shaping into my home planet, my home away from home. Earth may soon become my second home if the advances keep going as they are. Yes, I do know where I am at, thank you. What I do wonder, what the IFN has kept secret for now, is what lies behind the oceans. There was talk of multiple continents, but they have yet to be found (which I doubt) or the IFN wants to make sure that all area's are secure and wants to do recon on the continents before allowing any other colonists to step foot on the new land. Could these containers be a sign that Arkadia is growing? Expanding to be bigger and better than they were? They sure have listed some good company's to help us around here. Piron Firearms, Mako, ACA, Gravis INC. I wonder what will be next. And a short message to Sally; Are you kidding me? Is this why you need more Arkadian Advisors? Is it because you store oil in your office and that you need a cleaning lady? Or is it because no one actually occupies the office and hope some new unknowing colonist wants the job? Tsk tsk tsk Sally. *shakes head* And below is a picture of a toy I really really want. The Arkadia Dropship! *drool* But first, some light hunting on Monura and some effort to collect those last 8,5k of Vibrant Sweat to get that Arkadian Passport! End of Log, Lizzy Storm.
Oratan Battle! Date; 28th of February, 3012 Location; Courageous Firebase Do I need to say more? Well yes. Because I had to get lucky to participate in the event. And I went gambling. Often, it's a bad thing, and the loss is greater than the fortune in the end. 1439 HoF on Springs. Now that bought me a HARMAN ARK-36 Arctic (L) to battle the Oratan with, and some ammo. *yay* The event started out with a small group of people. I don't know if these people, including myself, would be able to handle a two day attack from the Oratan. Arkadians have done it before, so no reason to doubt my fellow colonists. Okay, lets all doubt about the capabilities of our little cupid on the right. Below are a few more eye candy's for those that have missed the first evening of the attack. I'm off to bed, I fought for 5 hours and Bossman let me have my beauty sleep. End of Log, Lizzy Storm.
Recruiting more colonists! Date ; 6th of March, 3012 Location ; Celeste Quarry After looking around on Arkadia, I felt like it was time to start promoting the planet. We could use a few more colonists to be stronger against the Oratan and the impending war with the Smugglers. End of log, Lizzy Storm PS : RL thing - it would be nice to have video's on the planet Arkadia website made by players. Show the game from a player's point of view. *edit* : The whole song and other EU music can be found here https://soundcloud.com/entropiauniverse The Core is also a nice one to listen to and I can't wait till I got a video it will be perfect for!
