    Log entry: Bye bye, Halix

    Log date: August 5th, 3013

After 3 weeks of farming and grinding I am finally done. I have completed my goal. I finished all 6 Halix missions. What a way to return in my new form!

It's a real shame the camera's on Planet Arkadia aren't all that great.
    halix.png

But nonetheless, you get the point. Actual picture proof I have done it all!

I know you want to ask me, what now? Where will you go now and leave a trail of bodies behind you? Will you spam our communication channels with your almost-not-worth-mentioning-sized-globals or will you secretly farm puny mobs? Get an apartment and become a crazy cat lady, that's what!

No, I will not become a crazy cat lady, however I do own a Whiskers that looks too cute to put into the stables' pet blender. I am thinking of taking it a little bit slow, as this farming felt like it took the best of me (for now). I will work on my daily missions, and to do them easily I heard something about an island you need to pay Arkoins to some shady people to enter. Shady people, puh! I can handle one, or two. Probably only one right now though. To get said coins I was thinking about doing an aakas instance once each day.

Also, I want to look into getting an apartment, hopefully in Celeste Harbor. Easy access to shops, I'm a woman after all! Although, anything better than these cramped barracks I'd have to share with 5 other (note; sweaty) hunters. I might have a friend I can crash at, however a place of my own would be fantastic as I can not haul around my figurine and trophy heads with me all the time.

    End of log,
    Lizzy Storm

More information about my Halix returns here.

    Obligatory music.

    Log entry: Loot Theory
Log date: 9th of August, 3013

Like everyone I got my own theory’s when it comes to loot and loot returns. This one is a partial though, still work in progress, I don’t know if I will ever finish it.

    1. The MU you paid for the items are not calculated in loot returns, only the TT.
    2. The loot returns are calculated by the system with MU already. Meaning to get 100%(+) returns of expenses on your sheet is you need to calculate loot + MU. If your average loot is 95% per example, you should be able to get 5% from MU.

Of course there are many cases where this does not work, and there are probably more things at play as to how loot is calculated. But I see this as a great basis to work from. There are many different reports among the theorists as to how loot from creatures work, so there is a theory for everyone. The message boards however indicate that the loot theorists are like conspiracy theorists and mostly reside on planet Calypso. Indicating that either the sane people are on planet Arkadia, or the dumb ones. To be analyzed further.

Also, now that I am done with the Halix mission, the IFN have many other missions to choose from to further improve myself. Within my capability’s I got Jori, Ostelok and Feran aside from the unfinished puny missions I started a month or so ago. But instead of instantly picking a new mission to do, my mind wandered off to looking for an apartment. I also have hunted more Halix in hoped to find that Skull another colonist wants so badly.

    serendipity.png

Now that I have serendipity I wonder if I should slow down a little and collect some peds as I am wanting to join in on events that require me to be below a certain amount of strength, or if I should continue to grow as fast as I can in order to become one of the greatest hunters on planet Arkadia. I already managed to reach the top 10 in global count.

    showoff.png

Yet, I don’t know for sure yet what to do. I will wonder and ponder over it. Maybe I will just settle for a short period and play with the Whiskers Cat that is currently dormant in my storage.

Also I have to note, I heard of a colonist noticing that the flowers on the plant disappeared. I think I found out what happened; They are merging with other plants! Here is an example of a flower-mushroom-something-else plant!

    Congrats on your Globals! :)

Thanks for the link to that loot theory post, it was very interesting! There is one part I was wondering if you could clarify?

"Selling skills Probably the best move MA did. Skills only have player to player value, as their TT value is quite low and no one would even consider TTing them. This keeps much ped in game and the 10% skill decay makes sure the amount of skills traded decreases over time, while maintaining high value. Time = money." (JohnCapital)

My question is: Do skills decay from x number of times of being killed, or something like that?

    Have fun with Whiskers! :)

When you chip out you lose 10% of the skill. So chip out 100 points, 90 points will end up on the chip and 10 will be lost in limbo.

That is the only way skills can get lost.

Rather that concentrate on one mob like Lizzy did with Halix, I have a lot of missions open and hop from one to the other if I see targets of opportunity when I am exploring.
Should I have concentrated on going all the way with one mob or just play the field as it were (no double entendres intended here :) )
I forced myself to concentrate on hornets - there is big swarms to the south of Victorious Firebase.
Now I have a new mission 1000 of them to kill :(
But hey, while hunting them I found caroot and common dung \o/ yay !!

Has it been that long that I last gave a status update in the Arkadia Networks? Yes. Well, I have to admit I have been busy with other things. Once I got back though, I found myself reading about the yearly Zombie hunt on planet Calypso. I could not miss out. Scientist may have found a way to abolish afflictions like zombie-ism in the general public, but that does not mean it can give colonists in the Entropia Universe a reason to fire their guns at zombified feffoids.

I did the full 40 hours (minus 9 minutes give or take) and found out that I was on Lootius’ good side.

(for more information check out this link and this link)

I also managed to get myself a parting gift from Calypso before returning home to planet Arkadia. Only to be surprised by the news about the new Gold Rush event coming up!

2016-11-02 -- Simple II Conductors 440 PED .jpg

This Gold Rush event I will probably try to compete in Category 2, meaning I need to extra skills put into my system so I can actually handle those pesky Magurg Breeders. I’m doing so by hunting Wombana’s. So far so good, loot has been good. In my Public Hunting Log you can keep track of my results. And don’t let my results stop you from hunting them too!

    Log entry: Gold Rush!
Log date: 5th of November, 3013

I knew the Gold Rush/Genesis Event would be coming, but not one day after I found out about it. So, there I was, early morning fog of the Arkadia Underground in my face, breathing in the grotto air. Ready to start some Wombana slaying, when my communications device announced someone found a really nice loot on a Magurg Breeder.

    Wait. What?

Gold Rush already started while I was sleeping!

I shambled and scrambled my way to Aakas and could not believe my eyes. But I had to, there was no other way around it. I accepted the missions, got my gear ready and off I was in category 2.

At first the loot was bad. Not many people seemed to hit anything, but there were also so little people hunting that I wondered if I should wait or not. I did wait a little, and at the time of writing I’m back to killing those pesky, oversized ants (thank you Planet Arkadia science team). Now, little time to waste, they need 20 hours of killing and I’m not even halfway yet!

For those interested, check out my hunting logs on GR!

    Log entry: 3014 coming soon!
Log date: 11th of November, 3013

Well, Gold Rush Hunting Division 1/7 has ended. Was it as good as my Halloween Mayhem stint on Calypso? I am afraid not. The returns and the point drops were not as good as I hoped BUT OMG DID I GET EVADE! I did the “kill 2000 Magurg Breeders” mission twice and got both times a whole level of evade. 1 WHOLE LEVEL! The losses I suffered may or may not have been the same as buying the skills myself, but I prefer to do everything the natural way – unless you do not think it is natural to take skill pills.

In a few weeks time we will have the new year coming up. I have decided to take a few weeks off before I start up a new hunt again. Already planning my entry into Merry Mayhem to a T. And after that my so-called new years resolution will consist of a few things.

    1. Farm Marcimex on Calypso with the goal of obtaining a Modified EK-2350. That will probably take most of my time.
    2. Finish the Arkadian Hornet and the Dromia missions. I have started both, the Hornets are almost finished, Dromia is at stage 2. Lots of hunting to do!
    3. Finish the Wombana mission I just started with in Arkadia Underground, and possibly when that is done I will return to my old IFN mission to infiltrate the Smugglers if Commander Harris allows it.
    4. Last but not least, when I return to Arkadia with my new healing tool I will take time every day to do the daily IFN mission to clear groups of Oratan on Secret Island, and doing some fishing while at it too.

Lots of things to do, but 12 months will be enough time to get some of the things done on my list. The last few months were both tough and easy. My medical mishap created a fresh start for me. I have started out with a knowledge that I did not have the first time as I was luckily able to access some memory that was thought to be lost. The though part is that I will have to redo missions that I have finished in the past. I will have to prove once again that I am a hunter that is worthy of Arkadia’s lush hunting grounds.

Oh, I almost forgot, I want to obtain a special pet. Something unique. I have had a little bird whisper something in my ear of what to get. I still have to make up my mind because if I were to get a pet now, I want it to be the right one.

I have posted this video before, but I just watched it again, and it reminded me of how great Arkadia really looks. While out hunting I hardly look at the scenery. Have this vid, feel free to post it where ever you like. This is our home!

Log entry: I’m not ready yet...

So, I made my way to Calypso, hoping to start on the Marcimex. It took me almost two hours to retrieve the key for Cyclops Depths where they were rumoured to be. Once there, I took a friend with me, but alas… Marcimex are still a little bit too tough for me. So my ideas of getting that Modified EK-2350 is off the table for now.

    2016-11-26 -- Marcimex Weak 74 PED .jpg

Currently I am taking a flight offered by a friend to bring me back to Arkadia. There is enough for me to do there, so there is no need to waste my time longer than I need on Calypso. Now that Marcimex is off the table, my missions to kill Arkadian Hornet, Dromia and Wombana will be an easy feat for the year 3014. I guess I need to start planning for activities for when that is done. Of course I want to do the IFN daily’s, maybe I will take that step into infiltrating the Smuggler ranks. Let’s kill some stuff first, shall we?

I may have mentioned that I wanted to be on Calaypso for Merry Mayhem this year. I did already plan everything for it, but I have fears that it will not be worth it, despite my luck during Halloween Mayhem. I might hold back for a year and participate next time. As I said, there is enough for me to do on Arkadia.

    End of log,
    Lizzy Storm

Catching up on posts here I noticed that Wournos mentioned that she has not found any Rutol on Arkadia.
I have not either - I suspect its a Calypso ore. I do not think that ores etc can be found in certain places - that their distribution is random (though saying that, under the biggest mobs, in PvP areas does have a certain logic)
But I would be interested to know if anybody has found any Rutol here?

And yes Liz, you are right, I am ugly - its the way my av turned out when I came here. Nice of you to mention it.

Rutol is in fact a natural stone and not an ore.

And always happy to give a compliment :D

    Log entry: Merry Christmas!
Log date: 17th of December, 3013

Again it took me a time to update my logs. First I will have to start with announcing I have made the decision to switch from Laser Pistoleer to Longblades. Something in my head kept nagging at me that I need to answer that longing for melee combat. So I did. I sold my most prized laser pistol possession and replaced it with a Kulokhar Glacier Sword, an amplifier and a Laconian Sword. Due to my untimely decision I am having troubles selling the skills I now want to get rid of as they have no use for me anymore.

So, there was Gold Rush Genesis 2/7 that I first joined with the Kulokhar sword. I had a great time skilling my longblades skills on Dromia so I could actually use the Kulokhar sword. I think I did OK. I am certain I did not gather enough points to make a chance at winning a prize, but it was a nice test of the capability’s of the sword, and mine alike. My best loot was ‘meh’ as the kids call it these days. Yet, it was totally worth it!

    2016-12-14 -- Magurg Breeder 1 40 PED .jpg

I went back and forth doing odd jobs until I settled with what to do next. I started to sell some skills here, started swunting Monura Males and will very likely start offering healing services on Arkadia soon.

And today was a nice day to wake up on Arkadia. First thing I saw was a perfectly wrapped present with my name on it. It was not just any present, it was one from the IFN! Inside was a Christmas sweater which I put on right away. Yes, I am hunting Oratan in the desert right now, but that does not take anything away from my Christmas cheer! There was also a Christmas Nusul Plushie with the cutest red nose! Lastly there was a balloon that defies gravity!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

    Log entry: Plans for 3014
Log date: 19th of December, 3013

So now that 3013 is creeping closer I have been thinking a lot about my final plans for the new year. I have changed my mind a few times, like realizing I can't handle Marcimex on Calypso yet.

For starters I have changed how I log things and now only make monthly overviews and not for mobs specifically. Maybe I will get back to that when I get a bit stronger and just farm creatures I've already finished the IFN missions for. The log I kept for 3012 is no longer available to reference.

As I announced before, I am switching from Laser Pistoleer to combatting with Longblades. Currently my time is spend on Calypso in order to try and sell most of my Laser Pistoleer skills I have no use for. Skills that give me no bonus to any melee or defensive skills. Some may ask me why I want to do that. It is simple. Why would I walk around with skills I will probably not ever use again? And yes, a lot of IFN soldiers who combat with melee weapons do have a ranged weapon to pull mobs one by one. I got a weapon for that too. It is not all that special. It's Bukin's Spare Rifle and currently my only plan is to use it on the Feran once I get back into hunting them.

For 3014 I hope to be able to join as many Gold Rush Genesis events as I can. Because I am selling those Pistol skills I am managing to keep below 125HP, and will be able to do at least one more Gold Rush Genesis event as it stands now.

Hunting will be apart from the events fairly minimal. I want to increase my funds and intend to do it with mostly swunting puny mobs. Mostly because I want to have those missions done eventually, and the only way to do it profitable is to swunt them. I've been spending most of my time on Calypso now swunting mobs as well, so when I get back to Arkadia I will have a lot of sweat to sell. One of my goals is to find someone who is willing to buy a set amount of sweat each week so I won't have to try to find a buyer myself by constantly informing the trade channels that I have something to sell.

One of the things I mentioned starting up again were the daily assignments to slay Oratan. I am still wanting to do that. I will try to keep up with the request to hunt some on a daily basis, but by no means I will force myself to do it every single day. I will do it when I have the time for it.

Since I have trouble selling all my Aakas 1 keys, and that I am switching to melee combat, I decided that I want to start running them again. There are low chances of finding melee weapons, also mindforce chips, while discovering the depths of these chambers that there is no reason for me not to run them. I know that there are often losses involved, but I am hoping to be able to cover them with my other activities.

With these plans, there is not much time to do other stuff, but I am always happy to offer my time to hunters needing a healer to help them tame or slay the creatures on the planet that are a threat to the livelihood of the members of the IFN.

    So in short, this is what I intend to do for 3014;
    - Find a buyer to buy some of my gathered sweat weekly.
    - Casually work on the Oratan daily missions issued by the IFN.
    - Try to run Aakas 1 once a day if time allows me.

These are only a few things, I will probably do some more spontaneous things. Main goal is to recover losses I suffered from activities I should've really not done in the first place. These few things will still take a lot of time especially because two of them I list as daily things. If there is an event or when I need a break if it's getting too monotone, I will.

I will not post new logs of mine for the time being, and if I will it will be a monthly thing because I am tracking things differently right now. My intention was also to start doing the IFN missions from the bottom up, meaning I should do the puny missions before anything else. That doesn't mean that will stop me from doing 100 Jori at the Secret Smuggler Island on a daily basis.

When I have sold most of the skills I want to sell I will come back to Arkadia, and if that is not the case before January first I will just take a warp flight. Need to be there when the next Gold Rush begins, right?

    End of log,
    Lizzy Storm.

*quick edit* Due to a misunderstanding I am stopping with posting my hunting logs, but my story telling will continue.

    Log entry: RUBY!!!
Log date: 22nd of December, 3013

So, I went back to Calypso again with a few goals in mind. First, sell some more skills I won’t be needing anymore. Also train my Corinthian Kanin to level 7 so I can continue training it on Arkadia. Also, I wanted to do more bunny hunting to see if I could get something nicer.

So, I listed some skills on the auction, got me a whip and went on my merry way. 30 minutes in I started shouting.

    RUBY!

    Wut?

    RUBYYYY!

I found a Corinthian Ruby Kanin! So I pull out my whip, and start using it. Wasn’t working. A friend came along to heal me, and later also concluded my whip was too big. Not good. Luckily he had a blueprint to make a small whip, and so he did. All the time I was really worried someone else came along to tame the little bugger, or to just shoot it. Once my friend came back, I took the whip and tamed it.

I cannot believe it! I tamed a Ruby Kanin!

Now for the name, I promised to name my previous Kanin Lil Lobo. But I cannot for the life of my name a pinkish bunny that. I will think of something soon enough.
