Thank you! Possibly a bigger post coming soon. Just need get my writing mojo on and cool down after exhausting ban Time to dig up some dirt!
Congratulations to all the new land plot owners. You got your deeds today with the launch of the new moon.
I cannot remember when they said they will deliver, I mean a date, I just remember they said it will come with the Moon. (Sounds silly but in their defense, only half the moon is here at the moment (I did think the Moon would take longer to get here), maybe it will all come with the next patch or maybe the Land plot tech difficulties requires a VU). Either way, it would be nice just to know whats up and get an update from A-Team. PS: Can someone please link the post from Dylan that stated when the Land Plots would arrive ? (Think its the one in which we were told we get Moon Deeds as compensation, but I cant find it ?)
they said with the planetpartner update in autumn, last year. then because of bugs with the landplot system we didn't get that update, and are waiting for it ever since. it is still expected for autumn, but now this year. please take any planetpartner's expected releasedates with a grain of salt, as sometimes (!!) not even mindark seems to know, what and when they will or can deliver (or they wouldn't overpromise). it's somehow dynamic and a surprise everytime, isn't it?
I would not look for land plots until the ones on Caly become more functional. It's speculation but it may be that Arkadia just doesn't want junk land plots messing up the terrain, as they are on Caly, if they're never going to work right. ** Edit: I was just reminded that the land plot deeds were promised for the "September content release". I forgot about that part of the announcement. So they ARE indeed coming soon. I'm assuming the Moon release was separate from the "September content release". http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/sta...lot-prizes-in-the-gold-rush-2017-event.14571/
I'm sure you mean well. Though either you are in the know as Ark adviser or you really are just speculating. I.e. you're adding fuel to the fire. Please don't. What is anyone to do with your statement? 2 years not enough to address the things you mention?
if you consider how long we wait for some other stuff, 2 years are nothing at all and actually i think the plots were here already, but didn't work, so got postponed and are waiting for a fix now, like a few other things i can remember... i'm really sorry for everyone's inconvenience, and also quite sad, that both MA+AS can't sort this fuckup out in a reasonable time. also i'll promise publicly, that i'll never stop arguing with the ark-devs (as those are the only ones i'm in contact with), and bitch about hurtful issues on the forums too. i'll maybe stop this when i think both MA's and AS' public communication is satisfying for the majority of their customers, and if we continue to improve communication with playerbase at current speed, i expect that to be in the year 2032. (yes i'm an optimist!) over & out
Look at it logically. Two years has not been enough for MA to further develop the land plot system. Has there been any development of it since the event on Ark? I'm not aware of any. Maybe there have been changes, if so, a current land plot owner could pipe up and give a summary of the landplots' current level of fun gameplay. To my understanding, it's a game system that only half works, and which MA is not currently prioritizing development. [Removed] - It turns out I was wrong, land plots will apparently be ready to be implemented on Ark with the next major content release. Whether more functionality will be added to the land plot system now or in the future, I have no way of knowing. http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/sta...lot-prizes-in-the-gold-rush-2017-event.14571/] IMO you'll be happier if you just enjoy the game as it is, and be pleasantly surprised when new systems appear. "I'll believe it when I see it" won't lead you wrong here. Arkadia is a incredibly well-made planet as it is, there's a lot to enjoy which you'll miss by obsessing over things which haven't arrived yet.
They were already developed and working on Calypso. There isn't a plausible explanation in technicalities and even if there was, there would be no good reason for not saying so to pacify the waves. The only evidence we have is one party's track record of abandoning promises and another one's track record of working like slaves to make things happen. As long as there is nothing else to consider for forming an opinion, what to do. As for possible remedies the affected players can use, there is no help if nobody wants to take the necessary steps. Good luck is all one can say. I'd just refrain from any serious competition until there is a demonstrated change in commitment from the powers that be. But people can't ever control their impulses...
The only thing you can do with landplots anymore is make a house. MA took the blueprints that use the grown fruit out of the game. Just put some fancy apartments in and call it good enough. Land plots will not see anymore meaningful development.
That's the other side of it, unfortunate for those who sank oodles of money into it. One of those things that weren't thought through from the start, but this discussion needs to happen elsewhere. It doesn't change the fact that the winners are owed.
