End of month remains the end of the event

 

As we approach the final day of this competition, I'm going to bump the prize up one last time. Valid post of a diagen find can choose 10 times from the prize list.

Thats around 1k Ped in value just for sharing. :dribble:

 

So time is up and the competition is over without Diagen being found. I'm going to leave the thread open for a little while in case there is any feedback or discussion. Will probably ask for it to be locked in about a week.

Thanks to everyone who had a go and was prepared to share knowledge of their finds with the rest of us.

I'm going to put some detail in the Mining section of the forum about where these various loots have been found.

One of the things I take away from this is I don't believe MA\Ark have got the balance right with the availability of these new loots. Diagen is definitely out there because I did manager to buy a small amount during the competition. But for no one to be prepared to share the location info for 1k Peds just seems extremely unlikely to me since I don't believe it is being found in sufficient quantities to generate anything close to that amount of revenue to sole miner. Otherwise I would be seeing it on auction. So if people are finding it, they very likely are not users of the forum.

Or perhaps I am wrong in which case I look forward to hearing from anyone who found diagen and decided against claiming some easy money.

I made a few hundred drops looking for it as well... And while I found Starrix, Pirrel, and a couple other rares using the Rookie finder (I was finding a rare ore somewhere in the order of 1-2 / 200 drops) Diagen is one I could not find. So my suspicion is that it's a deeper-placed rare, and if I were to pick a server to start looking in, it would be Server 5.

Might be worth seeing if the individual who mentioned his friend had found it would at least be willing to share server number.
But thank you very much for offering this reward and running this event anyway.

It was much appreciated and gave great excitement to every Size II Unknown .

 

Still think it got moved to pvp area where it requires a terra 4 maybe even 5 enhanced to get it. Gotta keep the draw for the hunters with enough tertiary skills in mining wanting to use pvp. You know the hunters with 65+ level mining skills they get for not dropping any bombs or probes hardly at all. Maybe once the Caly events are done in September Ill go in and drop a bit for it with a modded VRX2000 see what happens.

 

if it had been in pvp it should have been found by now, trust me on that.
