    Well, i guess what happens after the auction happens after the auction and is private business between business people isn't it. But then some business people like KJ, myself and i'm sure yourself, as well as a number of others around here believe in a little thing called "business ethics" don't we?

    Anyway, enough chatter, let the auction continue!

    Have a look at rule 6 here.

    I'd say one would be doing it at one's own risk, and if it's partially done on the forum (eg when one bids), I wouldn't want to be standing very close to Snape and his beloved banhammer.

    I saw the banhammer once. It gleams proudly with the horror of the taken.

    Reputation is clear if no one knows, plus many in this game don't care about it just as they don't care about "business ethics". And rule 6 only talks about "foul bids" where the bidder has not enough coins in hand, not what I described.
    Was only pointing out one of the things that can be done ... considering I posted on forum I guess is quite clear I was not intending to do it, doh :D

    And not to be "snaped" for chatter :p .... 115000 Arkoins from my side ;)

    Luck_A, I'm pretty sure rule 6 is addressing people colluding to get a lower price, not just foul bids.

    6. The potential issue has been raised that somebody could bid a million bajillion Arkoins that they don't have, with the plan of winning the auction, not claiming their prize, and having the prize go to their friend, the second bidder with a very small bid.

    • This is a great point, and we appreciate it having been raised.
    • Arkadia Studios will at its discretion check that interesting bids are backed by an actual Arkoin balance.
    • Arkadia Studios will announce a bid to be invalid on such grounds if deemed necessary.
    • Please note, "million bajillion" is not a real number, though legitimate attempts to bid this high are of course encouraged.

    Be so good to enlight me why you think that ... :p Beside the obvious written above think is kinda hard to prove intention of what I described earlier, as there is actual Arkoin balance to back the bid ;) ... and then, ppl can always change their mind as they did not payed in advance like in AH ...

    Well at the risk of being snaped myself, the reason I think that is the first sentence of the rule, ie what the red bits you highlighted are in response to. Anyway, you would no doubt welcome an official response, and I can see why :)
