In regards to the (L1312 Oratan Lancer Illustrious) that gave a no-loot message during last weekends event. I haven't seen anyone talking about this since it happened, so I was wondering what will be done about it. It is now Monday, so some response should come soon from MA I would hope. Whoever had the screenshot from the no-loot msg should post it here as well so we can all see it as proof. No-loot from this mob is not supposed to happen ever and should not have even been a possibility. The 2 Officials present at the time that it happened told us not to file support cases about the incident and that they would handle it personally, so I did not file one. If any of you did end up filing a support case and get a response directly from MA about this, please share that with us. I'm not willing to let this incident drift into obscurity and be forgotten...
Seems like the one constant about loot is that MA doesn't know exactly how it works either. Where did they say that big mobs should never be no looters?
Any mob can no loot. I find the bigger they are, the less likely though. It sucks but that's how it works. (Read bond theory)
I am wondering where this "big mobs can't no-loot" idea got started? I am admittedly no expert but I always assumed that risk came with any mob. Anyone know different?
I believe it was brought about after the farce that was the Huusk. After the massive backlash of it no looting, MA did make a comment somewhere to the effect that they would change something to ensure such occurrences would not happen again in future. I think this is what people are extrapolating the theory from.
Well this was actually the third time I had been present for a massive no-looter. First was on Oratan Lancer I believe a few weeks back, on that one most people didn't seem to realize what happened though I did see someone say "I got a no loot msg" and it passed in chat fast since we were already shooting the next mob. Again at Fire Crystal a Droid MK5 was a no-looter, this was about 2hrs before the big Smuggler ATH. That time there was a bit of hub-bub in chat about the no-loot but not for long as everyone continued shooting. The only reason I made this post, was because of the reaction of the Officials to this 3rd no-loot. They or at least one of them acted very surprised by it and said it "would be investigated" even taking the SS from the looter who got the no-loot message. So I'd like to hear the result of this "investigation", are the mobs bugged or is 'no-loot' a normal outcome for a mob that costs us $100+ to kill??
i was in on several big shared lootmobs that gave "no loot mesage" and i mean really big mobs that cost several k peds a piece to bring down my wife an dme have lost a couple k ped because of this,we filed supportcases each time...and they just get closed eventually without response husks/sandkings/those big ass bots....they all have plenty of nolooters
Sadly i think it is a possible result on any mob with no loot, hopefully it is very rare It is another discussion if it should be posible to happen tho, imo such a big mob shouldent be able to give no loot.
To my knownledge the only thing they've done to mobs is to add a feature where only stackables are looted. This was so that everyone gets a chance to loot something from the shared loot mobs and it not going to a one player in the form of a single item. No loots will always be possible as they can only minimize not eliminate the chance of it happening. It's one of the many reasons on the long list of why I don't take part in shared loot events or hunt high hp low regen mobs.
I imagine you have yet to participate in a Smuggler event? Smugglers drop high TT melee amps on basically every loot. One maybe two lucky people get items, and the rest get 1-10% returns. This continues for the entire duration of the event, and the only possible way to bring your returns up from ~10% to 90% is from a nice uber hof containing stackables. Since there is still no response, I'll take it to mean the "Officials" are only there to spin fluff and placate $heep. Honestly does anything they say have any meaning, when there is no action to back it up? Completely ignoring your loyal customers tends to end badly...
You're overreacting. So there was no loot on a big mob. The A-team couldn't do anything about it. It sucks but it happens. If we complain about a single no-looter we should also complain about the ATH, you know, just to be fair. Facts: Big mobs can be no-looters. The A-team has nothing to do with loot. The A-team didn't promise to reimburse you. Even MA can't control individual loots (e.g. the repeated Hussk no-looters).
