with training you don't need the range in the scopes just the scope, so as I don't need it or find a use for it then so wouldn't anyone else....
(and yes I learned to judge the distance with my usual weapons to a meter or less accuracy on flat ground, little less accuracy when it comes to hills)

Sorry Rex nothing against you, but this is how the majority of the threads is about this issue, just took yours as example of how it sounds from people who don't use manual aim (especially on small mobs, a fat Huon is no problem obviously but a tiny fast Oro it is)

And Yes Lee this is a platform issue and made the thread here for two reason:
    1. A-team looks here, and they have direct contact with MA
    2. there is no PvP areas on Ark so there was no "need" for this to be on Ark
(ring excl ofc but doubt rings is the PvP areas people complained most about)

Jen what kind of system are you using to play? Just wondering becasue i dont really have a problem with aiming and firing on the smallest and fastes of mobs like Oro. On a hill or otherwise. Actually i've always liked shooting from the hip without right click and that becasue it's more challenging and fun. And never really had a hard time hitting the mobs. I just wonder if your having a lag issue that is causing you to shooot where the mob used to be. There is actually a very very hilly spot that i like to hunt the oro's cause i like that i have to jump and shoot at them over the ridge and then as they come down.

how long have you been playing entropia? did you play before we had that right click option? what did you do then?

this wouldn't have been an issue and shouldn't have been if they never put it in game in the first place, because it wasn't pre cryengine.

I use the right click to maximize range and when having little Oro jump around and run down steep hills it's tough to hit them, but the worst thing is when they jump sideways(like around a invisible tree) for no reason after they finished their little dance before they charge you so get rid of that and the situation would improve a lot. And not to mention the looting, but that's nothing new to you I guess (no clue how looting was pre vu10 either as I write below you know why)

But been asking ever since it appeared to be removed but same there, use a gun not melee... so again I'm hunting wrong style according to 95% of the people answering about that, so given up on that to ever change :(

recently I probably had more lag then usual due to crappy connection, but that is something I'm about to fix since the "new" fiber technology is too complicated for this pissy company (comhem, for all swedes) so that's not the issue I would think as I think back 2months ago when I had the working one.

and yeah I played since dec -07 but back then I was like any other noob shooting at whatever not worrying about anything at all(except Atrox) or keeping any stats etc... you get the picture

I've been hunting Oros manually yesterday and today (small ones and big ones), using right click to loot them. In general, it's been trouble free. At the Resolute field I had no trouble with wasted ammo, though a couple times an oro ran around an invisible tree or something making me miss a shot. However, I usually have auto fire on, so I'd have missed those anyway unless I had auto target on. In other areas, where they are bouncing around trees and hills more and you can't use auto-fire, i suppose right click would be a greater benefit. I think if you're having trouble with right click to loot, then you must be having a lot of lag, and I think your only solution is to set a "loot" hotkey, whether on your keyboard or get a mouse with extra buttons.

In general, I think it's only an issue for those players who have come to rely on spamming the right click button instead of aiming and timing, those who have lag problems, and mobs whose hit boxes bounce around erratically or are very small, like those mosquito things on calypso. In those cases, I guess you have to use select next target > move to target. Other than reinstating the protected right click to shoot function, I'd like to see it a user option to set the right mouse button to "loot" in aim mode (only loot, not "shoot").
