yes we did and we get our web space donated to the station by a good friend of ours and altho its unlimited bandwidth i don't like to take the mikey with it if you know what i mean

Only thing is Mel speech audio doesn't need to be more then a 64k mp3 it still sounds fine. even 32k can be ok.

 

i converted to 64k and it's only 96mb and still sounds great

 

It's just been my experience that compressed audio doesn't really re-compress that well. That's all.

 

a very informative and casual interview and a great show, too.
i had lots of fun and got my on-the-fly questions answered aswell. i was a bit exhausted afterwards but had a swell time.

looking forward to some more of this. thumbs up!!

 

yea you only save like 2-3 mb where putting down to 64k took it down by 1/3

You saved only 4 MB. Add in the time/effort to extract it, plus the extra space of having it on your computer twice, not worth the archiving. If you had saved 10 MB or more space, then yeah.. But only 4? No. You may look at it as saving 400 MB in bandwidth over 100 downloads, but then you could've reduced the bitrate and achieved even more.

Just saying.

Yes he deleted it, because of Rick and I finding that the music was still there.. It will be back from what Ive heard - smaller and without music.. (damn copyright issues )
