Just do a run of 5 key. Received only 300+ PED of Muscle Oil . In this case, one chest is a nerf for me. No, I did not expect to get uber item, but now if you have not received arkoins out of this chest, you can not get them out of the next one, because here is only one chest. My result -120 PED (80% calculated return with key, decay, ammo) In addition, one box is good for one people (although I doubt it, given what I wrote above), and if Aakas will be running by team, then someone is deprived of fun to open chest. Need some other solution, because one box - is bad, despite the chance to get a good item. Although, if a 1-10 Aakas we can get the Dark Knight or something similar, then of course it is justified. But I think it's impossible.
Just ran key 7, TT return 50%, that's right, 800 ped spent, 400 ped of TT food returned. Instances are fun but there's no way to justify that kind of return. Instance loot at 75-80% with chance of UL items/special stuff, OK. But 50% is just totally unacceptable. I may run some key 1s but I doubt I'll try anything else till this is fixed. Don't know what MA's thinking setting loot like this.
In my opinion, the looting chain aligns chests loot. One chest - good luck or bad luck, or no loot (like first Hussk). I think this run was my last run of Aakas...if there will be only one chest. It is a pity of course
I think there's at least one more way you can change loot in instance and keep the number of chests intact. Just introduce lower tt items(tokens) that can be exchanged for those higher tt items Number of chests stays the same as it was. In that loot range we get small chance of looting a deed for an item that we can exchange for a proper item later on. With that in place we can have few draws instead of one for each instance run. But i guess it's like all with MA and EU - almost no chance for something good but more steady return in regular loot or high risk and low returns. I have 5 ark 1 keys left so i'll try this 1 chest fix soon but i don't plan to craft/use any keys in near future.
I've run 30 key 1's since the update and my loot swings have been higher - from a low of 52% to high of 145% tt return. I assumed having one chest increases variance, just like looting one higher hp mob has higher variance. I have seen in chat a global on a Key 1 and a couple globals on Key 2, which I think lends further support to higher loot swings. However, in the 48 Key 1's I ran before the update and the 30 I've run since the update, my overall tt return has been almost exactly the same (<1% variance).
So in this case it makes sense only low level keys... But getting these variance even on small Keys may turns into a dreary task (with spent time) Added: But as a result of the reshuffle will be far more losers, and those who planned the evening with friends to pass only one Key 8-10, can receive 50% refund, to be disappointed with the loss of money and do not participate in missions again. Though of course it would be profitable for A-Team. In this case - is forced to grind Keys, more grinding, less fun...
I'm still getting 70-75% tt return on full kills and 75-80% return on minimum kills. However, I am getting DRASTICALLY fewer arkoins. In the area of 10% of the amount of arkoins I used to get. So far I do not like this change. I don't understand how this change could allow something that couldn't drop or rarely dropped to drop more often. Especially after the change that made everything have 3% condition limit.
I'm not sure I have enough stats on other instances to be useful, but on Key 1, my average return is 86%. Don't know if that's because I'm really lucky or returns are better in Key 1 than higher keys or because there aren't enough loot instances to give a good measure. I guess it could even be a combination of any of the three. Also, for reference, I'm getting 22% as many Arkoins now as before the update. I've been wondering the same thing - I've seen this happen at least twice since the update
Really you have someone from the ark team on skype, and you ask this question instead of asking them what is up with the tt returns?
As if I wasn't annoyed enough at my previous 50% return above, I ran another key 7 since it looked like instance loot may have been fixed with the patch... this time TT return was only 31%. 800 ped cost, only 250 ped loot (TT food at that). Unfortunately I didn't see the note here about two boxes until after I ran the instance... I didn't see any second box in my run-through (I assume it's on the first floor somewhere?) and I think what's happening is instance 7 kicks you out immediately after looting the big chest regardless of whether the other chest has been looted. Looking at chat log now, it does say "container 1 of 2", but unfortunately you don't get an opportunity to look for the second one. So far on two runs I've lost ~650 ped that would have been in the other boxes. I sent a support case and am crossing my fingers that MA does the right thing and reimburses me for the lost loot, and that they fix this ASAP, without waiting for the next PP update.
The question has been asked by several different people on Skype. However, the only people who can say for certain how loot is working is MA, not the A-team.
