There is trouble brewing. I have ideas and someone is going to get a wall of text. Maybe you can at least use it as an excuse to call off your mother's visit this weekend.

Speaking of vehicles, it would be INSANELY awesome if there was a vehicle hunting zone. MA made all these nice fancy vehicles and weapons for them and then never did anything with them.

They introduced those to be used in pvp areas, which we did, it was al lot of fun too. But since it became apparent that vehicles are used more as shields rather than their fighting capabilites, most pvp zones were made as non-vehicle zones.

yup people made some nice PEDs on first few sales but what i mean is that (if they indtroduce) new ores should have a mission for items that will be used on long term or on items that will be crafted and used on long term.

There is actually a chance to do something differently, or go "back to the roots". Out of the usual exchanges between oldtimers, like we didn't have this and we didn't have that and still it was better back then... ofc it's not all true but one thing maybe: There were no iron missions, and mobs were pursued for specific stuffs they dropped. Now almost everybody grinds missions, and almost everything is in oversupply because of this, which makes it nigh impossible to realize markup or even sell at all. Although I, too really enjoy the grinding (as long as I can afford it) and will find it strange to adapt if the pattern were to be broken, it inevitably becomes same-oh same-oh and the moon offering would be about quantity, but little quality. If it had a consciously designed network of interdependences between the professions, maybe an actually sustainable cycling economy could be created again. (Not saying Arkadia doesn't have that thought already implemented, but the grinding missions kinda seem to foil what was intended with it. Every novelty introduced dies a straw fire from oversupply, expensive ones just burn a little longer but trend is always down.) Like a self-sustaining biodome experiment functions with only sunlight as input, build an "econodome" if that term makes any sense. Thinking of two fundamental works: Norber Wiener, Cybernetics Or Control and Communication in the Animal and the Machine; and Ludwig von Mises: Human Action. We tend to think we know most of this or got it with the mother's milk anyway but re-reading actually gives a lot of inspiration.

Please just make sure the apartments have a decent amount of item points... Similar to Tangerine on RT where the penthouse has 600 each and every floor below that has 400 each. ;) (assuming you do regular ol school apartments)...

Maybe even go a step further and make each apartment be a booth in and of itself that you can sell out of instead of the regular ol school apartments.?... Cyrene's working temporary booths that possibly change hands quarterly or something... hmm... a smuggler's den possibly?

I have to say: COMPLETELY AWESOME!

The A-Team never seems to disappoint.

With Planet Arkadia...There’s no place to go but UP. (Pun Intended)

    Hats Off!

Since Compet Deed holders got screwed over, and this moon is still under construction, perhaps you could do something interesting to help out all those that lost on that... create some instance on the moon that requires you have both a compet deed and ark moon deed in inventory to enter or something, and it'd contain like 5 or so rare mobs you can tame or something interesting?

Umm.. no.. Just because Compets tanked does not mean Ark has to do something to make them whole again. If you have a problem with your Compets deeds, bring that up with Compets or MA, not the Ark team.

Mastermesh, they were an investment.. they bombed. Please stop trying to hitch that investment to everything else.

Why not, every damn deed in game is tied in to the game in some way, or should be. This is a virtual universe after all.

They ought to tie it all in as a universe more... not just with compet deeds, but all deeds...

If you own an apartment or shop or even aud, cld, etc. you should get a free tp to the planet you own the deed on weekly or monthly. If they ever implement voting booths, you should have right to vote using those deeds in inventory as a prereq too.

This virtual universe/game needs to be a game, not just a grind fest. In game assets should be things that allow you to do things in game, and be integrated in more ways than they are currently.

And Compets is not part of this universe.. It was an attempt by MA to cash into a trend that was going on at that time which, it seems, they completely failed at. This has nothing to do with Ark and they owe you nothing for that investment.

These are nice dreams to get things that were never promised to you as part of that offering. Even the moon deeds do not offer what you are asking for. The CLDs made mention of voting but the offer never included it in what was offered. Sorry,

Then I would suggest you invest in projects that actually bring money into THIS game and not some pokemon knock-off..

    Just sayin..

It sounds like an idea but you're asking a planet partner to worry about something they didn't cause. Even if they wanted to, it is doubtful they have access to the interface at all. Which MA likely hasn't ever implemented in the first place, and nobody knows when or if they will. This has to be solved elsewhere.

Was beginning to write a draft, but got stuck. Too many unknowns. Well, a picture says more than a thousand words and if someone wants to tell me this doesn't clash with already existing plans...?

This reminds of of how Cyrene 'upgrades' areas with quests and mobs based on activity there.

As far as I know the closest you can get to this at the moment is free scheduled warps on the Yamato if you own a shop or apartment on Monria.

Which is why it should be put in game as a system... not something a handful of players with human frailties that own a ms should control... er monopolize with mindark approval (especially when the main human in the group has slight control issues and claimed to leave game completely in public while secretly doing the exact opposite, etc?)

Now were a bit off topic but not really since ark moon will be a moon, just as monria is.... will a team hire buy a m.s. to follow in monria's space taxi footsteps?

I like this idea. It is like we are terraforming the moon so we can breathe there.

Using ISRU (In Situ Resource Utilization) like NASA plans to do on Mars and beyond, we could refine certain rocks for these resources or turn them in (Lysterium = X units of O2 and Y units of N2). You could also plant a few pylons where people could use their Resource Extractors to skill, but also add to the atmosphere.

Of course, since the atmosphere is not stable, you would have to buy tanks of air (think "Anti-Toxic Shots") until the dome is stabilized enough to be in there!

Well, the markup is not just a function of supply, but of demand. Give people more things to with the things we can make and demand will go up. If people are grinding missions, they are at least showing up and being active and consuming some items. Make items they REALLY need, make monsters that at so epic in scale we need to step up our game! When are we getting Jaegers to hunt alien Kaiju? ;)

The biggest killer to the MU's are the Explosive Projectiles. By making a non-mining-resource way to skill construction (aside from spaceship repairs...*ahem*), that reduced demand considerably. All the afk-skillers/HOFfers just need to dump money directly to MA to do what they do.

EVE Online had a full-time economist on staff to balance the economy. It might be harder for MA to do that with all the different PP.

overkill for Arkadia... now on Cyrene where they have the planet development map thing going on... that's another story... Wonder if cyrene moon is one of the 3 planets coming in next 3 years.
