And the prizes are, after all cyber toys so they cost the company nothing, and right now after reading all these nice comments and seeing people rushing to get ready, Dave is dancing for joy, just imagine how many thousands of ammo this will use, and maybe millions, so its a win/win for the owners, nice free prizes and lots of TT business.

 

is there will have a scoreboard after the event start, or all the other players' global are remain unknown?

Not really the first Bill, we had the launch events for Alienware, which was for hunters, miners, and later for crafters as well. I'm sure this is the next event in what will be a growing number of them for all professions and different methods and prizes etc over time. Well done on the event and the video Cyrus, doubt I will be so lucky as to rate one of those smuggler's but happy to carry on hunting and see how it goes Good luck everyone!

Erm just one question.

So if I have my profile hidden does this mean that I can not run the ET client and stand a chance to miss some of my own globals ?

 

This is obviously an uber-oriented event, so I'm not going to complain that I don't have a chance to win At least we'll get to see some new people on Arkadia, and who knows, maybe a few will like it here and want to stay, and maybe it will help get some of those rarer resources flowing through the economy.

 

What exactly is considered 'cheating'? Some sort of clarification would be useful. I know is a thin line between stating such and giving some people some ideas, but the question stands.

I think a rule onto maximum playtime/24h would be in order, for company's own image, for some lunatic's health and for more fairness.

Are teams allowed?

P.S.: those items are also available in loot, rriiight?

Why not say that if you aint a true arkadian and lets say have made a total of 200 globals / hof or more on any Arkadia mob before the event starts then you cant participate ......

No. The point is that if "everyone" has their account set to hidden - there would be no point in ET since no one could use it for anything except the "charts". So thats why setting your profile to private is a step in the "wrong direction".

You can still run the ET client if your account is hidden.

 

Im sure - if Cyrus wants - I can classify people based on the mobs they usually global on - and the frequency of globals.
Sort of the "rank system" on ET - just a revised version.

Imagine if you will a graph - where the X axis is the mobs - the further to the right, the tougher the mob.
Y axis is the number of globals in the last 6 months.

Then you could "classify" where a participant belongs - and make events where "similar classified avatars" compete against each other.

It would be cool to see the current top 3 for every category.

 

I did a small test run tonight... no1 in Category 4

But of course if u only do 51% of dmg you've nearly halved your chance of globbaling off that mob.

 

Ahhh, but it washes out by practically doubling the amount of mob killed in shorter time.

Like the event, and the thought, but I have to agree that Calypso ubers will end up with every stinking weapon. This kinda sux, as those who are dedicated to Arkadia will get nothing. But, I guess its a good business decision for the short-term.

 

Technically yes. Rule-wise ask Cyrus.

As long as you - the avatar name - is registered on Entropia Tracker as the entity getting the global, then the data result will say you got it.

And for the love of god .. RUN THE ENTROPIA TRACKER CLIENT
