Hehe, that could be an idea. What I was saying is that we want you guys to choose where you congregate. Those areas that are most popular will then be developed from Firebases into fortresses into towns and even cities - this will happen gradually over the coming years. As per the story, there is currently only one city on Arkadia - Celeste Harbour, with a mix of Firebases, Dig Sites, outposts and settlements throughout the map.
brilliant! =) unlike calypso where MA put the cities there and didnt really develop the story enough to know why they were there...Hades...largest city ingame had to be most deserted...and twin smaller city being most congested hehe... this will definitely add a new scope to where we congregate, will definitely make a difference. So in other words, we decide where cities will be and not where the devs want us.... You never stop amazing us, =) this last 2 weeks to launch will be torture....help....
hmmm was sort of expecting something a little bigger with more indoor areas.... still, it looks like a nice design. I like how it looks like it unfolded. As for the surroundings though.... heck talk about plain looking... trees that just plop into flat textured ground with no interaction indicating they actually grew there? I'm starting to wonder if the artists need to find or experience more reference footage...
True, the background is really lacking in both the firebase and the ruins previews, but keep in mind it could be just that - a preview with a hasty background just to see it in perspective. First time i checked the surroundings i have to admit i freaked out a bit. But then i realized that developers who actually go to the trouble to make their own screws, probably won't leave such an indiferent countryside in the planet's release. Fingers crossed.
hmmm....interesting... so when they start making those cities in the sky like they do over PA and other areas and people start congregating there... Can we develop our skybases into fortresses into towns and even cities? LoL "Any way we could appropriate one of them there turrets and mount it in our skybase? Good sir." Lmao!
I think it might be more of a draw distance issue than anything else. There's evidence of attention to detail in screenshots such as this, I think.
actually you know that is a really good idea. nothing like creating a bunch of great looking cities but then nobody really occupies them.
