Bp's can wait a week as long as they get in there on MA's promise. It will give everyone a chance to get a little stock on the new materials for some decent crafting runs. I second that motion to start Wed. of everything else is a GO, cuz having a working product for that show for new peoPle to sign up and drop right onto Arkadia without a lot of falderal with pilots or tp fees to get there would be better. Anyway I vote for the best business decision for the Launch Date cuz everyone here is rooting for you and the success of your planet.

so David, what can you tell us about treasure hunting? Will treasure hunting be available at launch?

 

Although it will suck if we have to wait till the 31st to start colonizing Planet Arkadia, I am perfectly fine with waiting till everything is in working order. Thanks for being honest and for letting us all know.

 

Dammit, I just signed up here today to get ready for the launch and the first thing that happens is you delay from a day that I don't work to one that I do... even more annoyingly, if it had been last week it would have been the other way around

I have to agree with everyone else though, better to wait than release something bugged or incomplete. None of the other planet partners or MA have worked that out yet after all these years.

Hey ... welcome Oleg, really nice to see you here. This place has a wealth of Arkadia-related information. Dave and the A-Team are very interactive with the community, which we all appreciate very much, and it's just getting better.

 

Why not allow the big download, stop access to Arkadia and then issue presumably a small patch to get it all going once to have fixed issue. The we can all stagger our downloads over the next 24 hours. well just a thought

 

Don't repeat the mistakes of others, don't launch without blueprints. If you don't have them in now you can't be completely sure you will have them in next week either.

btw, im okay to wait... everyone prefer to go in a fully working planet.. we dont care about an half working content...

You doing a great job, I think this planet will bring a new air breathe in this game...

May 31 look good for me too, because i am working in the morning this day (so you can do server down 2 hours or 3) and have no work day June 1 and 2, so Ozi, do not need go quick, finish all well, we can wait a little more, no problem

I have to say ....wow.....it is a thread i m waiting for years now.....aswell the reason for the thread is´nt so nice coz we all have to wait a bit longer .....but....it really seems you Ozi/ A-Team have a good, strong community in your back even Arkadia is´nt online yet
it is great to see a thread without the usually flame and other BS....
i´m proud to be a piece of them and i look forward to a great new planet with a great helpful, funny and friendly community

 

A few more days or weeks of delay won`t matter much in the big scheme of things. We`ve waited some years already. Even at the stage you described, Arkadia seems to be little ahead of the other planets.

I would like some clarification though about the following:

You`ve said blueprints won`t be operational at launch. Does this mean crafters will be able to loot them but won`t be able to use them until May 31st?

Will unlimited BPs be available at the Technician Terminal just like on Calypso?

 

You know you what. I respect you guys a lot for making this decision. It flies in the face of years of things being released too early in unfinished states in Entropia.

If I were you, forget the 2 day delay and go for the week late one. Start the slate fresh with no compromises or broken promises. You said there will be BP's/full ecomony so stick to that stance.

People can handle disapointments if they are properly explained and understood. So yeh, I say take your time, do it right and make Arkadia the absolute best planet it can be from the offset! =D
