The problem is that if we look at the price (highest for anything as of now), we compare it to Foma and there still is a lot less activity, so unless you the is a steady flow of incoming players and the playerbase grows, you won't be able to grow the underground. People simply won't suddenly abandon Foma and move to Underground.

So it all comes down to firstly how much Ark is going to invest and develop it and secondly will they make mayhem like events in there. Think about the event when they handed out all those smuggler weapons. If they do something like that, limited to Ark Underground AUD buyers will be happy. A big gamble atm...

Currently what should be the undergrounds biggest draw (indoor style treasure mining) is its biggest weakness. Nearly all of the blueprints that consume treasure materials are clothing blueprints which have lower turnover and low demand for final product. I understand Ark was eager to get a functioning economy up and running as soon as they could, but as a result the core of the economy does not use treasure materials. I don't really have any good ideas on how to fix this issue.

The other cause is the universe wide death of weapon crafting. This has casued the profession with the highest turnover by far to become decoupled with the other two professions. I also have no good solution for this issue.

Big gamblers will still come, but many high turnover professional miners will not visit often due to the difficulty in selling large quantities of Arkadian materials. The strengthening of the primary category of crafting with the addition of the terra amp bps has helped greatly and as ark grows so shall material demand but I fear for ark (and the universe as a whole) with the secondary category of weapon crafting being so severely gimped.

Yeah more uses for mined treasure would be good.

Weapon crafting is the core of my business and is healthy and growing from my perspective. February this year was an all time sales high both in number of units sold and peds. Last month's sales was in the top quarter of monthly sales since I started the business in late 2011. Most months I turn over 30 to 40% of my stock. The last time I failed to make a monthly profit from crafting was May 2013.

I can't be the only successful weapons crafter in EU. Perhaps there are less people making weapons at the moment and no doubt there have been speed bumps and there are challenges to be overcome but it's clearly possible to make a go of it if you are thoughtful and adaptable.

I would really like to see more crafters working on Arkadia to increase the demand for resources. To source ingredients I have paid Arkadians around 370k peds, mostly for mined resources. Last month I purchased around 14k ped in resources. That excludes payments for for residue which I don't track. Clearly an increase in crafting activity would push up demand. But to achieve that I think we need more shops released. Ark devs need to push MA harder on a timeframe for more shops.

There probably would be much less, if any, people willing to participate on a taxed land.
As an AUD owner, I'd welcome such a spawn. As a player, I'd pass :)

EP seems to be having issues (I'm getting script errors everything I visit) so as this thread pulls the info from them I guess it may account for the issue. I'll get hold of Razer and Tass and see what we can do

As a deed owner I would like to pose this question to my fellow investors: Would you rather see a weekly payout, like the CLD's, as opposed to a daily?

Nothing scares away a potential investor like a ZERO dividend payout. A weekly payout would just about guarantee a positive number (unless it's a REALLY bad week).

This method really does nothing to help current share-holders as it does nothing to increase daily revenue (at first), but may encourage more players to invest, thus increasing Studio Arkadia's working capital, which may in turn increase our shareholder value.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I prefer daily since that way, since that way i don't have to wait that long for the peds.
Also any "investor" that would buy them when they pay out weekly, but not when they sometimes payout daily is a bit silly.
You don't want silly investors since those panic easily.

One thing that kinda surprised me is that with the Smuggler events in the underground the return on the AUD's did not go up.
    Is something wrong?

Harmony - I completely agree with your sentiment, however a quick look at any of the world's stock markets and their inherent volatility will tell you that panic is the name of the game with any professional investor.

RAZER- totally agree, I thought the Smuggler events would seriously boost the income. I've also been seeing mining globals in the Underground going off at a ridiculous rate the past week, yet nothing noticable in the dividend.

Hopefully things will turn for the better. I stopped purchasing AUD's even at the discounted rate they are selling for at Auction. CLD's at this point are a much better investment.

If the dividend has become more frequent, as in every day for the past week, then that is a significant improvement as there were multiple days where there was no payout at all. At this stage, a payout of even 1pec EVERYDAY is a huge improvement and we can only hope that with continued interest, activity and development of the AU that this will improve more as time goes on.

I'll attach a screenie of the graphed records I have been keeping since AUD's were released to illustrate what I'm talking about, as soon as I get home from work.

4 pec payout today, I think that's a record. That's what happens when items start dropping :)

Yep we get a % of the loot (like tax on LA's), so a huge loot means more $$ for us.

And I don't think the payout has become more frequent. The missing days on the chart are just days there was no payout, probably because the amount was to little (below 0.01 PED). I bought another 5 deeds, to see if that takes care of some of the no payout days) and added the days that there was no payout as 0 in the chart (might take a while for that to be visible on the forum)
