    Since last Version Update there is an ongoing investigation of what caused the sound issues a lot of players experience.
    It seems to be a platform issue and we are working together with MindArk to resolve it.

    We appreciate all the feedback that's been given in order to identify the issue.


    Update:
    We expect this issue to be solved with the next PP update which isn't too far away now.

    Since no one seems to bother anymore, I'll add some new info:

    -past week I've been in Cyrene and Calypso, both planets have all their sounds specially Calypso with that bunch of fools and their pets, but that's not the case. While on both planets I noticed that when crafting instead of usual crafting sound I heard the same sound when you jump in the quad and engines start. I don't know if this is related to Arkadia def season but might be a clue.

    Sounds worked fine on KC and SV for me. Aakas as well.

    Haven't been at many more places. The Underground lets me have some sound effects after relog, otherwise silent.

    Switching graphic settings disable my sound and a relog is required to get it back.

    As of three days back I only get the sound for every other shot (65rpm) opposed to all sounds with my old weapon (45rpm).

    I have absolutely no sound at all at Indomitable. I had to re-install recently when the last patch failed so not entirely sure if 'my' sound issues are the same as the 'general' sound issues experienced or related to the re-install/corruption (no errors found or repairs needed with the new install).

    I reported earlier that I don't seem to have these sound issues. But since last weekend I noticed frequent dropouts specifically of my gun sounds. Everything else sounds correct, music, environment, my pet, just my weapon screams only upon every 2nd to 10th use. Can't make out a pattern in it. Been almost exclusively hunting on EA2 and the Hadraada north of Kestrel lately. It is possible that I didn't notice if this occurred already a bit earlier, since during about 3 weeks I was playing with sound totally muted, but turned it back on now.

    Tuesday I made a short trip to Next Island just to gather tps, since I'd never been there and was recently prompted to download it anyway when going to Secret Island. Shot about a handful mobs and found everything sound-related working as expected.

    I often seem to lose sound when I exit the Command Post. This was very pronounced today as I spent around 20 minutes in the Command Post closest to Relentless FB tp. I browsed auction, even alt-tabbed to check things on entropedia (I play fullscreen) and all the time I had sound, which is the longest I've had it for except in instances. As soon as I left the Command Post to get my daily, everything got quiet.

    Could these sound issues be in any way related to the Brodcasters that are placed in the Command Post's corridors? I remember they made very loud sounds when I alt-tabbed back into the game near them, but I've never heard them after sounds got bugged. That is not to say I only lose sound near them, but might be worth checking out?

    Here's a screenshot that might lead to the culprit pet that glitched sound:

    I first noticed this glitch on missions when I went to get my disciple on Caly, but same happened in ark while coming from space and on cyrene. Botton line, delete all pets and all will be restored to normal :biggrin2:

    Just visited Relentless FB briefly. No sound at all near the tp.

    I did a "tour" of the tp's the other night. I started at the top of the tp list and worked my way down. I would arrive at a tp, step off, and fire a pistol. On at least half I heard no tp sounds and no sound for the pistol. However, in running around looking for trees to harvest, occasionally I would begin to get "environmental" sounds...wind, birds, that sort of thing. In other server areas, when I was well away from the tp I could get the normal game sound. But when I was even remotely near the tp there were no sounds at all. I do have all game sounds in the smuggler instances.

    I really hope they update soon. I only get environmental sounds on Ark, would love to return to my favorite planet!

    Hey guys i had the same issues for a long time but there is way to hear game sounds.I was told about this by a friend i met in game whose ava name is Clad.What u should do is go to Options menu,select sounds,set the sound quality to safe mode, apply it and close window.Relog after that.i keep hearing all the game sounds after that.I only had sounds at quarry,rig and at some fire bases.I dnt knw if the sounds are fixed now but ever since i did dat i got sounds.Hope this works for u too.gl

    This seems to have worked for me. I only was online for a short while but sound definitely worked in places i NEVER had it (used to have sound quality set to Very High). Thanks for the tip :)

    I love arkadia and i knw all u guys feel the same way.im happy it worked for u Sniqs.Hope arkadia team hv more time to look into issue now without having to answer all those questions on sounds.My thanks goes to Clad who told me about it.cheers.

    I have my sound quality setting on safe mode since forever, it didn't occur to me that it might make a difference for the current sound bug. Now that you mention it, it seems likely that because of this I had indeed fewer problems in the beginning. But as reported, I now have no sound in certain areas and/or at times just like everybody else. So again it seems a fix for some, but evidently not for all. What a bummer this is, can't nail it down to a fixed set of parameters it seems.

    Let's see what the update brings. I keep my fingers crossed for the A-Team and us all that the spook will be over for good. It sure must have caused them a lot of stress.

    Yeah I can't wait until these sound gremlins are gone ! I wanna come home ! I had some sound issues when mining on caly the other day. Only when dropping probes though.

    I too have tested to adjust sound quality (didn't know it was possible). Mine was set to Medium. I changed it to Low (just as my graphics) and I have sound inside Outposts, and I just killed 3 halix young and had sound (except for S.I Psy-Blade). It seems to come and go though.

    Yes what i shared was only a temporary solution but hey at least it we hv sounds for some period of time.Thats a relief for me and i hv sounds now all the places i normaly stay.at outpost and rig.sure hope this get fixed soon.A-team pls help us.
