certainly. it's the consumption of the materials. it's the same as how your ammunition "decays" when you use it.
Can understand that, but if im understanding the statement correctly as is on the entropia forum in a sticky thread, ammo doesnt decay just guns, amps and armor and so on ammo used flows directly in the lootpool, just like auction fees and so on. So it would be logical if the same happened with crafting, but the only thing used there is materials, so have to be in the materials. for example, where i have found it, is in enhancers. More tt cost than the product is worth. (if im correct, im not a crafter) in mining theres enough decay to cover it, also in hunting. Very smart system imo, winning or loosing doesnt matter, decay is always there but on topic, it explains very well what happens, more decay, more income. Its a way you can choose by making mobs harder to generate more decay, but imo thats short view policy.

Why are there so many people who seem to think they should be able to kill every mob on the planet? Where is the challenge or fun in that?
I have to agree with this statement ... obviously the mobs weren't balanced properly, and just as on Calypso or any other planet, you shouldn't be able to kill all mobs with "Gremlin and 5B's" as someone put it. You certainly wouldn't expect to do so with a Daspletor or the tougher Aliens at CP, nor even with an Atrox Stalker, or the tougher Warriors, so I don't get why people are complaining. There's a progression with mob killing, along with the equipment you use, or eventually are able to use efficiently, unless you have a death wish and like having your avatar's body splattered all over the place - I don't see where the fun is in that to be honest. The point is ... we shouldn't at any level be able to kill all mobs as easily as has been done since launch, and I fully expected that eventually, the balance would be adjusted. It's not any different than on any other planet, and to say that you're leaving Arkadia because of this is a bit unfair. It's also unfair to compare Arkadia to Calypso whose been around for 10 or 11 years. Arkadia has its own growing pains to experience, and if we're going to run out the door just because we can no longer take advantage of something that shouldn't have been in the first place, then to me, that's pretty sad, sorry. I think Arkadia has done an exceptional job so far addressing our concerns - some are within their power - some they can take to MA - and some are what they are. I think over time, Arkadia will be fine-tuned and present an even more enjoyable environment. At least we have a developer and team who interact with us and take what we have to say seriously. Also, they gave us a workable planet right out the gate, which is more than commendable.
People need to remember this, as this alone is a reason worth staying. Looking forward to continued growth and new adventures!
chrome, have u found a way to use the hides and skins that others havent? Ok look, i think some people are missing the point and focusing on I SHOULD BE ABLE TO KILL THIS OR THAT. That wasnt the point at all. The point is this All mobs drop the same basic loot u can get from anywhere but almost if not nothing with mu. the cost of hunting these mobs effecivly doubled however the loot did not change or lowered. THE LOOT IN NO WAY REFLECTS THE DIFFICULTY OF THE MOBS. to easliy put it. I just did a run on Teladon young. 400ped ammo on Freand Delta with beast amp, and 700ped ammo my UL R150 with dante. Emine and 5b plates my cost for ammo was 1100ped my cost for decay of everything else was 732ped. my return was 1400.32 ped. That amounts to a 432ped loss roughly. THATS NOT NORMAL. I have averaged a loss around this much since vu. every day each hunt. getting shit like 1 eye oil for loot or 1300ammo and 1 component and 2 oil. got 3 globals in this rund 200 106 96. Didnt seem to help much. The day of the vu i got a 700ped hof and several globals and was still 200ped under. I know loot cycles and all but why is it that before this vu. I averaged right at 90% every single hunt with the exception of a couple hunts that i got a hof and profited maybe 200ped. I also tried with using dmg enhancers in all 5 slots on my rifle which brought total cost of each hunt from 1830ped to 2200ped because i used 900ped ammo so to kill the dante and addtional dmg on armor. I was getting roughly the same loot. This was pre vu and post vu substantial losses due to many loots with the loot i mentioned above single component, single eye oil ect. The solution to the issue at hand is simple. ( I dont bitch without giving suggestions to fix) 1. Create mob specific loots so that each or most mobs need to be hunted to get the loot needed to craft or whatever. This would cause mu increases. You cant put in basic loot and say well the reason the mu sucks is because everyone is only hunting that mob. Since all mobs are dropping the same stuff. 2. Item drops need to be more frequent, ALOT MORE FREQUENT. It is not a matter of working itself into the system. Thats crap. RT is perfect example. They implemented armor weapons and bp's this vu and sure as shit, that stuff dropped. not 1 or 2 but tons of shit. 3. The loot should be proportional to the difficulty or expense occured in killing a mob. a 4k oro ffs. I know its dynamic. but really. Havent seen a kadra ar kiana or korwil drop a loot like that yet. but they are all much harder and were being grinded. So loot needs to link with the mob a bit better. I can tell u its frustrating to loot a teladon that only gives 1 thryoid oil and 1200ammo and 1 compontent or less, and this type of loot happening frequently. You dont have to take my word for it. Find Hafgolf. He was the number 1 hunter of Teladon on the tracker. and funny enough, doesnt seem like he is hunting them anymore. And he was grinding stalkers since the first or second day. So the thread is not to bitch but to HELP A team and MA balance this planet correctly. I am still here, havent left yet. giving the benefit of the doubt at the moment. hoping they will fix it soon. but i cant continue much longer at my current loss rate when i do 3 hunts a day on average about a 450ped loss 3x a day as it has gone for the last week
Ok, I think most of us (including me) got your first posting wrong indeed. About balancing: it's definately only MA who can fix this. It's good to make the statement like "i cycled x PEDs, received y PEDs", but A-Team can only point MA to balance this, they can't do anything themselfs. Must be an annoying situation, but if you look at the things another PP did, it's good, that MA has control... if they just make the game a little more balanced in total .
Why are you thinking that every mob has to be unbeatable or a money pit? try to play this game with low skills and you see.

All that tells me if that he's smart enough to have switched to a different mob when the one he was hunting before was changed. Why haven't you done that? Every mob unbeatable? Really? Don't be silly, there are lots of low-end mobs on Arkadia. And btw I started with no skills, same as everyone else.
Yes and Marco would never lie to us, would he?? Then again, Marco never specified what decay is neither. For all we know he considers decay to be: gun & amp & ammo & fap & armor wasted and you get 95% back from your decay?
Oleg, I have tried every other mob on the planet, the teladon WAS the one that I had the best returns with thats why I camped them. I also tried the other mobs again after the change, still Teladon young seemed best suited for me but the loot return is terrible now. Before the VU my best suited mob was Teladon Dominant and below, meaning starting with Alpha i HAD to have a fapper and battles would be close calls which I like no problem. But i think if they had raised the dmg dealt amout for the mid teladons to half of what changed to in the vu they would have been more difficult and costly but managable, HOWEVER. The loot recieved should have been changed to reflect the new difficulty and cost of the mobs, which it wasnt. Second, I am not certain but venture to say Hafgolf left Arkadia. I was seeing him hof and global everyday several times a day on Teladon before the VU and after I dont see him hoffing or globaling at all on any mob on Arkadia. I have thought alot about leaving, but im not one to see something broken and not try to repair it. So I made the post. On another note, I am a person that thinks that loot pools are generated for individual mobs. I could be wrong and maybe i go kill a baby oro in a few and will hit a hof that repays the over 10k ped ive lost since launch. I have just always seen better returns when hunting a popular mob and when camping a mob for long term, it seems to give better results in my opinion. So being effectively cut out on the mid versions of the mob can be etremely frustrating. Final Note..... Why do this in the MIDDLE of a competition where people are trying to hit ATH's to secure a mothership. Bad timing on a rebalance of any fashion. Wait till after the competition at least. I dont Blame the A Team as they have made it clear to me that its MA's doing. But maybe our voices can get this situation PROPERLY BALANCED. Thank you all for you info and comments.

I finally came back to Arkadia after space was introduced (along with TP nerf) I found the increase in damage caused by the nerfed mobs disproportional to the same level mobs elsewhere (same damage type) Either some damage tweaking is needed.. Or the level of the mob needs to be corrected. IMO.
