    just a better reason to buy those big arkadia guns and shoot them empty on Huon and then donate them to the museum

    now with extra pray for loot =)

    Well we have been playing on Arkadia for just over 3 weeks (?) so some adjustment are bound to happen and I'm sure these were not the last ones. Overall they have done a great job and with these tweaks it will be better, even though some people might think the adjustments are not right. This just means that you might have to change the mob you were hunting to a different one. I realize it is easy for me to say, because I usually hunt mobs that are on the low end of the spectrum. And who know what mobs we will be getting in August ;)

    (RAZER is still wondering what those birds are)

    You have not a "right" to hunt a specific mob. And I like to see that MA and Arkadia balance the game, I have no interest in a bad balanced game where skill don't count anymore.

    Yukas are pretty hard for me now too, but I hire a medic and off I go. If you don't want to hire support, you don't want to spend more money on equipment, then just adapt to the changes.

    Constructive feedback is ok, but it's just plain wrong to write in a manner like you do.

    Basically my view too. With so many good things about Arkadia I am a long way from complaining about some rebalancing this early in. Whether it was decided by MA or Ark doesn't much matter at this point, I just want a planet that is better than any other and so far I'm getting it. I do hope that there won't be changes to mobs after a few months though.

    (this junk all started going downhill when high regen was introduced imo. I want good old low regen mobs)

    Excuse me, but what markup are you talking about? Those few oac & some big esi's?
    It is a lack in L items that makes the mu on oils so low, also as long as there aren't descent (worth to click) bp's nothing will change.
    You can allready see the effect of it in Arkadia specific ores/enmatters. As a last note, the problem is not that there are too few mobs, it makes no sense to hunt another mob there to loot the same oils, so it sounds like BS to me.
    Anyway nothing for me to do there, either the mobs are way too hard or way too easy.
    Not sure who rebalanced it but I suggest you go ingame & give it a go for yourself!
    & yes, I adapt quickly.. took the TP down today, back to paying SDS :S

    there is more than three mobs on arkadia, rebalancing forces the "im gonna hunt this one mob till i pop" folks to look past the end of their apis'
    things will settle down, and maybe we need those other mobs to give us the materials and loots to build our new world.... just saying the sky is NOT falling

    Absolutely seconded.

    If Arkadia ores are sold at this slow pace, miners will have a very hard time in staying on Arkadia. I think this is something A-Team will have to take care: I don't what is the source of the problem, but a problem *is* there.

    I have a full page of Arkadian ores in auction, well below weekly/daily markup, unsold.

    The main problem on the "high" level mob is the lack of markup items into them, which make them almost impossible to renta on long term. this is why i returned to calypso on warlocks, because at least on them i can regulary loot flare filters worth 600%. in 2 week on arkadia and maybe 100k ped cycled i havent looted a single item worth over 110%

    I like Arkadia. I'm going to stick around for the long term. But you gotta let me, Dave. The reason that everyone was doing Huons wasn't because of the loot. I've heard people complain about the loot even before the nerf. The reason is that that is the only spawn suitable for a mid-lvl player, in gremlin/5b. Something with a good pure spawn of mobs L 24-26. Come on in the game and put on a suit of gremlin/5b. Grab a fap90 or so. Give it a try. You just nerfed all of your mid lvl players right out of hunting.

    It's not that nobody has tried the other mobs. It's that they did, and they found what mob was right for their level. But much of the market who came into the game was of similar lvl. If you want to make it so that people spread out a bit and do some other mobs, make some other mobs more attractive. Don't make the attractive ones less so. Otherwise the next mob that they choose will soon be made less attractive, and so on until you are running a planet full of crap mobs.

    Now I'm not much for whinging threads, so I'm going to go grind about 12k baby oro. After that..well, I'm not so sure. Maybe there will be a spawn I can hunt more seriously at that time. Otherwise, I'll probably try mining or something.

    I'm planning on going back out into the wilds and 'retrying' all the mobs I ran into during the first two days of exploring, just to see how they have changed (or not) as I expect somewhere out there will now be a mob or two that will work fine for mid level hunting when before it might have been too tough or too easy. I personally don't enjoy hunting/grinding on anything that requires me to fap a lot, but don't like the feeling of blowing a mob over with one bullit either, so it's actually a matter for me of re exploring now to see how the balancing is working. I hope those of you who call Arkadia home, or planned to, will consider sparing a few hours at least for just that before deciding to write it off because of these changes.

    I see u saying i need u spend more money.. really, I mean. hmm. full emine 5/b plates UL R150 reg chip V lv 37 evade blp 59. and i need to spend more money on a mob i was grinding with no problems. The damage was at least tripled on the Teladon Prov-Stalkers.

    Now what did i say wrong? Last I checked your post is the only one that says im doing or saying anything wrong.

    My point was not a matter of having a RIGHT to hunt anything, it was to point out how extreme the change was. To go from grinding all day everyday to not even being able to hunt them is extreme. And so far everything i have said is constructive. Just because you feel differently doesnt make my post untrue or distructive.

    Now the question is, how can we go about fixing the entire problem?

    what is the underlying problem?
    The fact that all the mobs drop the same loot. with the exception of yuka young that drop ocassional output amplifier components.

    Every hof and global I have had have been all oils, no new mats or rare mats or anything the slightest bit useful.

    The skins and hides would be helpful and have mu IF the bps were here. but we all need peds to play so when having to TT for peds and u find 2k worth of hides with no mu. What would u be TTing?

    Sorry to dissapoint you but in my 900 ped run on small yuka, my defense cost was 7.5%.
    That's with LVL 52 evader & an adjusted fap.
    Guess how many output amp components I looted.
    yeah a big fat 0.
    So my view on this is, that tiny bit of mu I got there in loot was removed & as compensation for that, they made my defense cost twice as high.
    If Arkadia team doesn't see the problem with this, then I wish them all the luck in keeping their playerbase happy but I won't be a part of that

    Oh come on people we all knew this was a ploy to draw in customers.. We all see it every day in real life. Put something out there appealing for cheap then when the masses arrive crank up the cost. This is all basic marketing in it evil best form and this game is just that marketing. Owners are here to make money not give it away, if they just kept giving Arkadia would be bankrupt in a year. Please do not tell me you all thought this would last forever and you could just use this planet as a free gold mine geesh. You enjoyed it while it lasted now time to adapt and suck it up, just like you have to do in real life when a deal is over with. In a way it makes the game more challenging and enjoyable to play LOL ok maybe not....

    FYI: I'm not liking the new mob changes but I do understand it and have nothing bad to say about it.

    hmm I am not sure which game you have been playing. However in the Entropia Universe one I played the PPs and MA take 10% of my turnover as their payment. The damage a mob inflicts is almost irrelevant for that. So I don´t think your argumentation is valid.Some Next Island mobs for example still work in EXACTLY the same way the huons used to do. They inflict low damage and have high hp and thus loot ammounts. Note how the hp are what generates these not the damage. So I see no reason why such mobs should not exist on Arkadia when they do elsewhere. Dave made a very valid point which is to avoid "favourite" mobs because of the loss of Markup in their loot when they are hunted too much. However in THIS case that point is not really applicable since the Huons don´t drop anything of value anyway. Along with almost all other Arkadian mobs. Yes I know I am repeating myself but I still think it´s important to notice before the activity drops so much that newcomers are left alone so to say.

    Playing same game. Was kind of just stating an observation using real life senerios. I understand they take % of take. But if a player gives more by using more ammo and to repair armor more which in turn leads to more investment. So fighting mobs is directly related to the amount of take they get from you.

    Since they have changed the mobs I have noticed there is not large globals or hofs coming across my screen every second now. Which in turn means people either quit hunting or they are not killing the mobs as fast anymore and getting tons of returns from the mobs and spending more resources to get less. Which as you can see they are making money off you.

    Was just saying in real life you see this everywhere also, companies lure people in with something nice then after they have them they gouge what they can for a bit to recoupe the loss then they average out and hopefully retain a few customers throughout the process. They will average things out again in a week or two. They need to make up for all those globals and hofs they gave away these last couple weeks.

    just as an example I have just been monitoring the global and hof list for last few minutes and there were 6. a week ago there would have been like 20 in that same amount of time. just an observation.

    Just my take on the game as a while. I really don't care if you see it the same. I play for fun and I depo as I see fit to have fun. If I have to change mobs so be it.

    to collaborate with you all the only MU items I am receiving is Oro Hide, ~130-140% / superior cloth extractors (only looted about 40pec worth since release) and of-course was getting Output amps when I done Yuka with Soc..

    personally looted 3 weapons; CAP-303 Arctic being the best, the others just lvl 5 pistol and rifle.. got a rough idea ho much i've rolled here sofar defiantly in the 10's of K's.

    made afew profits pre patch but those were all levelling out the next hunt to keep my total at %80-90 overall tt returns, Were people making a killing or something? I know i wasn't..

    gona take afew days off ped strenuous activity.

    ah, well, we all know you need to be uber to shoot some nice mobs
    Even a noob has to be uber now

    jeez, getting agro mobs at trainingcentres, thats a failure and nothing more than that. and they already were noob unfriendly by high regeneration. only small spawns of halix for noobs isnt enough.

    And i dont care about loot because i know how it works. changing mobs can help, but whats to change.
    Im a high skilled noob and i can assure you this aint enough mobs. Nothing to do on Arkadia anymore.

    its just sad imo this planet is killed in just 3 weeks by adjustments which advantages ubers and people who can pay big bucks. mid and low level players just dont have much options left




    It looks like when adjusting a planet its a disadvantage being an old high level EU player.

    Just like RT(1 type of zombie for low level and an empty noob mob field) and NI (unshootable noob mobs by very hard aiming) its all about ubers.

    doesnt anyone care for noobs anymore? Ubers where noobs too once

    dont forget ubers and rich peeps will leave in a sec if loot dries up.

    then? you have an empty planet full with noobs that all wanna go to calypso because halix aint enough to shoot.

    it will be silent after space.

    good luck and maybe, if space isnt dominated by greedy people, just maybe, see ya

    but then a lot of changes are needed.

    The experience the first week was awesome, after that, same as the rest, no need to be here.

    edit: btw, IMO this loot thing works exactly the same as fruit machines, get customers with prizes in the start, after that rip off your customers naive enough to think gambling machines are random. Every new planet works like that.

    Mindark stated in the past revenue is taken from decay, and not all decay

    so the 90% return and MA getting 10% is just a wrong conclusion

    Where do you think the hofs are payed from?

    the lootpool is closed, 100% of hunting cost flows back in the lootpool -/- a part of decay. Thats not 10%.

    If MA would take 10% you would be broke in no time, whatever you would deposit. Its way less, otherwise this game wasnt meant to stay

    i only dont get where the decay is in crafting, but maybe someone has an idea

    Or maybe MA's statement is a lie, but 10% wouldnt just be possible. edit: on second thoughts it can be possible, i just dont get then why people spend so much money here

    I like the changes so far. Is just wrong to hunt all mobs with gremlin+5b. Makes no sense to invest in higher items.
    Would be cool to have more BP's to burn the resources. I wish I could move here. Some day I may. I like many things about the planet. Mining had me really disappointed, but I trust it will come a day when it will be better.
