Hey there guys, i noticed that PvP4 area on Arkadia is like a dead wasteland . I mean Calypso is boring most of the times. But the only thing is here to go mining for some Pyrite. I want this thread to be a ThinkTank for the Arkadian Developer Team. Already send severel Supports to them to give that zone some life. I want some special mobs ! Or an instance there or maybe the new mobs their drop some similar stuff like the Shrooms on Calypso atm so you can upgrade an Item or get an item like on cyrenes missions. Let´s the infromation flow and see what Arkadia thinks about. Cheers Don mitnick
How surprising that most people in EU aren't that interested in lootable pvp. Maybe one day MA gets the message.
No than it would be not a suggestion . It is so dead and boring there..it has to change something in all pvp areas of course.
Just find some Pyrite tower there and post coordinates here and on PCF. That will bring a lot of life there, I'm sure. P.S. You could read about old tower in PvP 4 on PCF.
Male your poll with 2 simple options: 1-I like pvp 2-I hate pvp You will be surprized of the results. Truth is PVP areas should be oriented this way. 1-a competition between 2 players with something worth for prize 2-non forced pvp in anywhere on entire game 3-optional pk between 2 players anywhere in game as long both agree 4-lootable closed areas with pk active like enter by your own risk but without anything related to gameplay (mining for example) 5-dropable skulls from dead players (tradeable for something worth having)
I think you guys dont get it . Its obviously for people who like pvp or want something special that they can get in this area and willing to take the risks. PvP contributes a lot to this game. Pks invest a lot in skill and tools that dont have any purpose in many other professions. Its just to make an big area more attractive for players. You do not have to hunt or mine their that is just a choice...but its nomansland. Boring as shit and nothing to do there. Its like a LA with not one mob on it. I dont get it why arkadia doesnt want more people to hunt/mine or do missions their. Brings more people to arkadia , more cycled peds etc..
Yeah, I was also looking for a "no changes" option. So... I suggest that no changes are made. From what I can see, PvP just isn't that popular among Arkadians. Which would not be such a big surprise: it's quite a small group in EU as a whole in the first place. I view it as a specialist activity: since it relies on other players to have as opponents, it requires the participants to go the same location. (Which would be PvP4 on Calypso I guess.) I would not be in favour of a Daily mission that you HAVE to do in lootable PvP. Having that as a requirement for a daily mission, is basically asking people to donate 5 ped a day to the PvP'ers. The only time I ever bought a toxic shot, was on Cyrene, because one part of a search mission did send you into PvP4. Because I just started and didn't know any better, I paid it, but was not too happy about it when I learned the exact workings of lootable PvP. Planetside lootable PvP is optional, and making entering it a requirement for anything, would make it 'optional' in the space way. Isn't PvP4 on Calypso so quiet because of the changes MA has made to the technical aspects of it? How would a PP be able to do anything about that? The only thing they can do is give people an incentive to enter it. But somehow that doesn't sound like real PvP4? That's just drawing non PvP'ers (and their toxic shots) into the PvP zone (for non PvP reasons), who then become prime targets to get shot and looted. Which sounds more like the space dynamic: shooting/looting people who don't stand a chance to fight back. And ultimately, would that also make PvP'ers come to play against each other? But well, maybe I just don't move in the right circles, and there happen to be a lot of PvP4 lovers on Arkadia. Would be interesting to see: maybe loads of PvP'ers will come forward in this thread to ask for a change. As far as this Arkadian goes: I'm just fine with the current situation. But that's from a non PvP'ers point of view ofc.
If you don't like the activity/area ratio, you can either increase activity... or decrease area. Surely your chances of meeting another GD would increase if the area of PVP4 was shrunk in four, for example.
Most players voted about with their pedcards. Just go and visit Amathera on Caly. Full of LA's and each can be turned into PVP by LA's owners. And noone private LA is PvP, all are set to PvP off. No need to guess, ask LA's owners why.
Just to be in favor of pvp liking people I would suggest the following changes: -turn off space pvp for those who enjoy exploration of the game -make planet side pvp areas loot able including all tabs, not only stackable. With these, you will enter at your own risk.
I'm sure you could get together with a few other PKers and have some fun. But it's not fun you want, it's players who aren't that skilled at pvp who are carrying loot.

Leave the lootable PVP zone as it is now. The A-team put a lot of thought into its design, and I can tell you it's functioning as intended. The lootable mining zone isn't meant to be wall-to-wall people. If you want a PVP zone with a lot of PVP activity, try hosting some events at the regular PVP event zones on Ark. You have the PVP rings at the Harbor and resolute, as well as the IFN commando training grounds, which is a fun area. Edit: BTW, I meant to add that "PVP4" is located in Amethera on Caly. On Ark, the lootable zone is named "Lootable PVP".
I get it, you just want things that drive more PvP contact. Which isn't a bad idea. I mean, for that matter a Day 1 Noob can run in naked and try to run out with something decent while big shots are killing each other. After all, spending 4 PED to Solo a Noob for his 0.50 in Fruit isn't really profitable, some 'scabs' as it is would get out free with the thrill of a chase (or run into a clean up party on the outer edge killing for fun instead of profit). All kind of ways to do it. Heck, if it was a Daily for a 3 Drop Mining Run in there, I might cozy up to the edge and try to get out with my meager gains, making sure I brought nothing Lootable. Spicing things up is always an idea. And as with everything there is Risk/Reward factors that need to go in. Some new players would much rather try a Death Run for a PED of Items that they MAY get out alive with while Big Killers are hitting each other than Sweat for an hour.
