    Hi Ark team
With the recent private sale of Sanctuary Cove shops many players will be unaware who owns the Land areas and who to contact should we wish to contact the said Land owners.
Can you publish a list of who owns which Land areas so we can contact them directly should we wish to purchase apartments and shops.

    Cheers
    bjorn

The only Land Area owners on Arkadia (currently) are Deathifier (8 Coins) and Hawkwing (Sanctuary Cove).

The privately owned areas remain 8 Coins, owned be me, and Sanctuary Cove, owned by Hawkwing.

When someone buys one of the newer areas they'll join the group :)

In the Arkoin Broker is a deed for one of the islands to the south of the mainland. All you need are 15 million koins. That's a TT value of 150k ped, but MU will add at least another 50k to the price based on current koin MU. Once that is sold we expect a deed for the other island to be placed in the broker.

There are planned to be another 4 LAs after that to be sold in a similar fashion but those LAs have not yet been created and we don't know the timing of that. It might be the first content release after the sale of the second LA or it might be tied to some population level being reached.

Pls forgive a newbie not knowing alot about this...pls...lol

    If I understand this correctly....

    1) The broker (which I just found) is the only place to get a "deed". You can't pay in PED, it must be these arkoins (which you need to find in game).

    2) To get them you loot them or buy them off other players and so the markup will add, roughly and best guess, 50k PED to the price of 150k PED (so $15,000 USD base and an estimated $5,000 additional USD for a grand total of $20,000 for the current LA).

    Now...with those to points established/assumed....

What is the purpose, apart from the taxes, of getting the land area?

I understand you get a tax on mining and hunting and events in that area but, are there maintenance fees? How do you establish what mineral can be found there (or can you)?

I believe I understand a Land Owner needs DNA carts to get animals on their land. What is the difference between a DNA Cart 2 and a 5?

What happens to the animals currently there?

To be clear, I don't have $20,000 USD to invest in the land area. At least not right now..lol...and TBH probably never will but, I am curious why someone would want to put that kind of real money into the game that is not already "invested" in it rather heavily like a dev or something similar. I mean, what kind of ROI (if any) are they expecting or is it more of a "hey, I really love this game THAAAT much" kinda thing? (Or a bit of both)

Don't get me wrong, I think its cool as all get out that its possible. I'm just still new and a 150 PED rancher hat still is a bit...un-nerving...to me so when you start talking Hundreds of Thousands of PED well....yeah...there is the sound of grey matter being slagged.

    where to start?

the costs will be higher since you also will have to buy the DNA and feed the animals.

Owning one has been a dream of my avatar since I started many years ago, for me it would be a sign of 'winning' the game. And i guess that goes for other people as well. I'm not sure they are really a viable investment on arkadia atm, but i sure wouldn't mind owning one :)

To make Harmony's reply a little clearer, and to assist with your Qs:

    - There is no other expected or hidden RoI for owning the Land Area other than the taxes.
    - To my knowledge, the new Land Owner would have no control whatsoever over the minerals on his land, but could control the creature population with the DNA cartridges installed
    - Creature spawns are "maintained" by installing "Fertiliser" into the Land Area fertiliser station... without Fertiliser they will weaken and die out / dry up
    - Fertiliser is made by combining "Common Dung" and that blue en-matter I for some reason have blanked suddenly on.
    - I actually am not 100% clear on the difference between Blank Cartridge Numbers: I _THINK_ they just determine which creatures DNAs can be put into them (IE: some creature DNAs go in a Cartridge 1, but others need the Cartridge 2)

And yes: otherwise, the only benefit is the feeling that now you are finally a landowner in EU, and part of a small, elite club :)

    Growth molecules :)

Tougher the mob, higher the number on the DNA cartridge that it fits into.

EDIT: I'm a moron...just skip over this post
The island is 15 million Arkoins, which equates to $150,000, with an estimated $50,000+ in mu for the Arkoins, making a total of $200,000+. (not $20,000)

pretty sure arkoins are 1 pec each so that would mean 15.000.000 / 100 = 150.000 arkoins, or 150k tt.

Hmmm... how about parceling out some smaller LA's, say expected deed price around 40K-50K PED... and if possible balance things so mini-land owners could have a fighting chance of making a few PED on events, at least over time.
