Special Announcement – IFN Orders new armaments to Arkadia

For Immediate Release:

IFN HQ, Celeste Harbour:

With much fanfare, IFN Commodore Harvir today announced a shipment of cutting edge weaponry to be sent to Arkadia. The Scott & Barlow Corporation has been selected to begin shipments effective immediately. The first shipment is expected to arrive at Arkadia in approximately 1 weeks’ time.

Commodore Harvir told the gathered press; ‘I’m very pleased to know that the colonists on Arkadia will have access to a wider range of weaponry to counter the ongoing Oratan threat and increased raids and attacks by the Smugglers”.

But for real, great news to see new weapons.

Oh, there is a new company in the picture?

Are they the 'new kid on the block'? (At least, I don't remember seeing that name before.)
The company seems to have it's own dropships, so it doesn't appear to be small fry.
Did they beat Herman Industries for the IFN contract?
(Several years ago: "Herman Industries won the contract to supply firearms to the Imperial Federal Navy's Liberation Fleet")

After the owner and his family 'mysteriously' died (killed?), Piron was bought out by Herman Industries.
And the Piron weapons on the market were apparently not meant to be there.
Same goes for Gravis: they went out of business too. And the Gravis weapons currently on the market were also supposed to be destroyed.
Both companies were customizing Herman Industries firearms before going broke.
All in all it gave the impression that Herman Industries was the heavyweight.
So, does the introduction of S&B Corp. mean that H.I. is finished?
Or... are the terms "armaments" and "weaponry" used instead of "firearms" because this isn't about weapons (as in pistols & rifles)?
