Arkadia Adviser Question

are arkadia advisers alowed to attack other players in space ?

 

we are not allowed to actively pvp (in space ,or in planet lootable area) while having Vests on

 

hard to see if they were wearing their vest , but i would figure that a trusted adviser shouldnt be shooting anyone to start with.
but this happened to me today.

 

is it just a nother pvp arere in Space rely why shuten pepols shot others ther when its pvp its part of the game i liv whit it you can to

i was at the oil rig ther i git scremt off becures i shot a litel ther and all got pist off why ar pepols going to pvp if ther dont wont to get shot its part of the game i liv whit no problems rely if sum shot at me on pvp zones i can just sty out of them and dont haw loot on me

when a pirate shots at me i just shot back

If you can't trust an Ark Adviser, who can you trust?

 

A honest Adviser?

 

I tried to look up the advisers regulations / PvP threads: unfortunately my forum search came up blank.
But personally I wouldn't expect any adviser to engage in PvP.
A.o. because everyone plays the game differently: there are people who love PvP, but also those who abhor it.
The latter goes reluctantly through (forced lootable PvP) space when absolutely necessary, while trying to avoid pirates.
An Arkadian Adviser would then seem the last person you'd expect an attack from.

A rule about wearing the vest makes a lot of sense for planet-side PvP, but indeed, in space it's not possible to see what clothes a person is wearing.
So perhaps those rules were made before space was introduced?


Btw, I thought pirates would pop up in a quad-skirmish video. Lol, surprise surprise: the target was the MS Kronan. ;D
Phew, glad I wasn't on-board this time: I thoroughly dislike being shot at by people, especially in space.

 

Yep that was me and was me and was having fun should have asked permission first so sorry for not doing that but was wanting to see what damage could be done by a kismet and one quad.

Also wasn't awAre following discussions with other people that you didn't have gunner seats used when you do repairs skill as thought some one would have shot me down a lot quicker.

If I did manage to blow the ship which I didn't and wasn't the intention as you had lots of cosmic horrors on you and so was having a lot of damage hits from them then would NOT have looted anyone.

With the upcoming space changes guess I was over enthusiastic to skill up unfortunately I had you on ignore list as were advertising space flights on the #arkadia chat Chanel and so if you tried to message me this would have failed.

Was contacted by other people who advised you that it wasn't a pirate and was me and would not loot and would be flying around and having fun and even asked them to advise you are also unignored and friend request and pm's sent in game After incident.

Have now organized dogfights that won't upset people

 

...except there is no forced lootable pvp. There are, however, a big pvp area you need to go through to get to other planets. It's lootability is completely by choice.

OnT: Not sure what to think really.

Edit: @SallyBridges , I would love to participate in an organized dogfight for practice and skill purposes. Pirates rarely wanna go twice even though they shout about in chat. Could you PM me in game next time you're up there?

 

That is a silly rule, you can't see a vest when you are wearing armor.....
If i would have gotten killed by an advisor in space or on planet, i would be seriously pissed though.

 

I believe that this behavior is wrong, and newcomers did not need a adviser who will only increase the number of active pirate, because the activities of pirates only annoying most other players

 

Sweet will add you as a friend and then let the dogfight commence I am not very good and so we might have to do the best out of 10 you will probably get 8 of them as well.

Also was obvoise that this ship was wanting to take damage and so in my ever enthusiastic way thought i would assit in dealing some more damage - this wasnt piracy this was trying to be helpfull - but backfired.

Also Ship had lower carma than mine and your not going to take a MS ship down on the 30 ped of ammoo i was blasting for skills and seriosly thought the MS ship would have blown me out of the sky pretty quick as assumed incorrectly having discussed after the event that the ship would have fired back and taken me down in seconds.

 

Sounds like a communication breakdown is the real issue here. Hopefully Sally has now realised she needs to talk to someone before she engages them in "friendly pvp".

Then why didnt you go after the kronan that you came out of, why go after a different ship?

 

No-no, I don't see any 'friendly PvP' here... In Sally's behavior I seen only pirate aggressive action (who killed ppl before those video, judging by the red marker!)

I don't like pirates either but I accept Sally's explanation.

 

Sally did not come out of the Kronan, as you can see from the video she first appears in front of the Kronan and then flies down the side.
Given the size of our mob ball she would have been destroyed had she launched from us, as you should have recognised.
Sally is not member of the Kronan guest list, nor to my knowledge ever has been.

I was asked by a member of EFA to clarify if she was a known pirate or not, I was able to tell them that we had never seen her shoot any ship and it was our understanding that she was not a pirate.
I was under the impression that this information was passed to you and I do not therefore appreciate your implications that the Kronan or her crew were involved in any form of piracy, especially when this was posted after the event.

The Kronan often gets new players in space trying out the ability of a quad to damage a large ship.. 9 times out of 10 this is simple curiosity. Chatting to them in local chat or space chat will often help, you could save some new space player from losing a lot of peds unnecessarily and gain a friend in the process.
Obviously had your ship been in any danger that would be a very different matter.
