It appears to me that planet partners are not allowed to design anything for space, not allowed to make any vehicles that can enter space, nor even influence how their planets actually appear in space.

Why?

Wouldnt it make more sense, for example, for arkadia to have the moons you see on the planet surface, in space?

Or even have calypso's moons actually look how they appear from the planet surface,...

I've seen a few comments lately about whether the practice is safe or not. I'd like to open up a discussion thread to clarify the issues involved in making the decision whether to disembark a mothership at atmosphere or the station.

I'll describe the practice for those who don't know what I'm talking about. There are three ways to leave a mothership.

1) get booted off the guest list (you end up floating in space and die)
2) while the ship is docked at a station, you can use the TP located...

When taking off from a planet, you're supposed to spawn inside the space station safe zone. But yesterday I took off from Arkadia and spawned on the edge of the safe zone, after a few seconds and before I was fully loaded up, the PVP message came on and I was in lootable PVP. There was a red triangle in the area, but I didn't stick around to see who it was.

So take this as a warning that this situation can occur. This is especially important for those carrying a large number of stackables...
