Will there be changes to Carabok and Jori textures design?

Before the last update Carabok textures were brownish and pretty good looking, which gave some hope that there will be a demand for them when they are put in use.

Now, you suddenly changed the texture into some acid pop-eye green with black spots on it, which looks ugly and therefore you devaluated all skins stacked up since the planet release and made it TT food.

Same with Jori, the texture was totally different from this hellish red plasma burst.

I understand your need to make Carabok and Jori more visible, and I totally support that, but do it with other techniques, CE2 has enough power, do not turn the textures into crap no one wants to buy.

These are low level mobs, so you mostly hit new and low level players with that.

Look at the auction: two pages of Oro skins, even Oro skins at Caly, Jori and Carabok - only 2-3 offers. The main reason - you ruined the textures.

You did the good job with Oro, made them crearly visible on the ground and made nice skins, that are in demand, do the same with Carabok and Jori, help new and low level hunters.

 

I for one MUCH prefer the new textures/colors! I think they look GREAT!!!

 

I agree.. Much better. And the Jori texture? Mordrell's sleipnir looks awesome. Don't change a thing.

 

Well I agree with Rick and Calin.. The new skins are AWESOME... I'm collecting Carabok hides big style.. (hunting them myself) .. they are deffo going on my Sleip when i can..

 

I'm glad you are all so happy, the bottom line is no one wants to buy them, comparing to Oro.

Their market is dead and there is no MU.

 

Looking at the items in auction and the auction sales Jori is just as much dead/alive as Oro. Now things are new and people pay markup for it, in a while prices will drop a lot and textures will mostly be for skilling purposes.

 

Oro is naturally going to be one of the most abundant hides because of the number of people who hunt them... thanks to the IFN mission, their location close to academies, and the fact that they are accessible to low level hunters. Fortunately, the texture also looks exotic, meaning it will sell well. I am not surprised that there's not much jori or carabok hide on the market, as those are not hunted to the same extent. I think the carabok and jori hides look good, especially carabok, which isn't boring and non-descript like most textures.

Has it occurred to you that there aren't any on auction because everyone is saving them or buying them from noobs at the quarry?

 

This is true; it takes a LOT of hunting to gather enough carabok hides for auction. Most people would sell them directly to traders or crafters. Jori spits out somewhat more hides, since you can hunt higher maturities.

 

For now i have 330 Carabok Leathers in my storage.. 19.80 ped TT.. i think its taken about 100 ped ammo with a caly TT pistol to get there.. But i keep going.. gonna be fun clicking those when the BP gets added to terminal on tuesday.. (hopefully if MA doesnt fuck up again)

I think the new carabok hide looks great and it's only not on auction because they are hard to gather from a mob with so little hp.

I don't like the Jori hide so much. I kind of preferred the old one that looked like fish scales. The new one is too bright orange and doesn't look fishy at all to me.

 

Also, there are tons of oro hide on market, but I'm not positive they're selling all that well. I haven't been selling oro hides so I haven't been paying attention and could be wrong.

 

close to 3k tt turnover on them on auction at 150% average last week so i would say yes it sells well.

 

Yes, as i said, Oro sells and sells well, Carabok doesn't sell at all.

The only reason for that is that Oro has nice design, Carabok is ugly, please change that, don't bring low level hunters down even more.

I was able to sell Carabok skins before the update when it wasn't in use at all, now I can't.

Please bring back normal colors.

 

I just bought a bunch of carabok hide today... But not on auction... It's most certainly not ugly...

 

Endy I happen to love the carabok leathers.. there's a reason i got more than 500 waiting to be clicked tomorrow..
