I don't know that I could point to a specific favourite. There are a few series from the past that stand out.
Watchmen, Swamp Thing - Alan Moore
    Planetary - Warren Ellis
    Sandman - Neil Gaiman
    Lucifer - Mike Carey

I'm also a huge fan of Grant Morrison (The Invisibles, Animal Man), but I don't think his work quite matches up to the list above.

    These days I am collecting:
    Fables - Bill Willingham
Powers - Brian Bedis & Michael Oeming
Locke and Key - Joe Hill
    The Boys - Garth Ennis

I havent gotten into comics much since video games came out but my old favorites from when I was a kid were the Dick Tracy series and Justice League which I had mailed to me regularly thru a publishers club deal from school.

When I started reading the Wiki content I got pretty excited, and one of the first things I thought was, someone should make this into a game because the storyline is so vast and rich, then ...

As I got more into it, the complexity of expansion made it more difficult to connect the dots because it branched off so many times. Not enough to turn me away from it, but I can see that it will take some doing to follow everything.

I'm still interested in reading it, and if this is available to download on my Kindle, then it will become a part of my library. I love being drawn in by massive sci-fi storyline with rich history and an exciting timeline into the future.

I listen to books mostly so comics dont really work for me. I've almost got through every Star Wars Novel only like 17 left i think and love them all.

City of Ember Series is one of my favorites was very cool. Also I've got through all the Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt novels they are great and Jules Verne. Right now I'm working on Sherlock Holmes which is pretty cool while watching the new Elementary series on TV.

Graphic novel wise it would have to be either the Ghost in the Shell series or Black Lagoon.

Novel wise it's the first of the Space Captain Smith trilogy by Toby Frost or the Ciaphas Cain books by Sandy Mitchell.

as for reading( i do a lot of this ;) ), i really liked the the joe pitt books.
    it´s about vampires :D

yea, u heard right but not like these gay, girlie-like, mainstream movie bloodsuckers but hard-boiled, kick-ass bastards with lots of violence and punchlines you can really laugh about. movie rights are already sold, i think. so this might be a good time to get into it b4 the hype ;)
