Welcome to Planet Arkadia! The backstory is indeed a great place to start off For some tips: You will need PED (the currency of Entropia Universe) to be able to participate. You can obtain PED by either depositing or by stone/fruit walking or sweating (and then trying to sell what you get). Since Planet Arkadia is new, there isn't an established sweating area yet for big group sweating parties. I assume in time one will be founded, but for now your best bet is to try and find some help in game! If you just want to familiarize yourself with the controls and the planet itself, I suggest you go for some TP (teleport) runs. Since you only start off with a few TPs, it's always good to run to new ones to get them on your TP list. Find some tutorial movies here: http://www.smoerble.eu . They are recorded on a different planet, I am working on versions for Arkadia now. But it gives you an idea.
