Ok, so let me start will the obligatory praise. Love the game so far. But it seems now that I've depleted my starter resources I'm left with two options. Stop playing or pay in. Generally I steer away from games that require you to deposit money to play. Don't get me wrong I've donated to gaming communities, payed sub fees, and obviously purchased countless games over the years. I will most likely cave and break a long standing rule of mine and invest. The game really is that cool. But I'd like to avoid that if at all possible and wait to put money in till I want to(IE: buy a pimp'n pad or sumtin). With that said time for the nub questions.

Are there any quest lines that will provide an income with out a cost(i have no mining probes or weapons -.-)?

What are the most cost effective ways to gather resources or items to keep me at least a lil in the black?

Are there any creative ways to come across ped?

Are there any groups that cater to nubs?

Well no Nothing here is for free :) with modifikation. U can sweet and gather oil Thats free. Other then that
    1 get a mentor
    2 find a society
    3 read alot
4 either find a job or Depo :)

Basicly the starter Quests are missleading. The only purpose they have is to teach u the basics

Heya and welcome to Ark :)

    As explained by Ridan:

First of all, try to get an active Mentor in your Timezone - He/She will help you a lot, with information like this.

The next steps you could really do "for free" is:

    1. Run to the Oilrig or maybe someone will fly you to it (it's in the lower left corner of Arkadia) and collect oil and then sell it
    2. Go sweat some Caraboks - Get 1k sweat and sell them for 2ped/k to other players
    3. If you got some money, you could get your first wep and some ammo and do solo "Swunting" - Gather sweat and then kill the mob when it's dry (Carabok is still the mob to go, don't forget to accept the Mission at any Mission Terminal).
    4. Could be 3 as well: Team Swunt - go to Celeste Outpost (ask at the Quarry, someone can take you there) and find a swunting party. They do the Swunting with bigger mobs, with a few players and then kill it when it's dry.

    5. (Never tried it myself) Test one of those "PedToClick" pages and watch videos etc. to gather Ped's

    6. The fastest but not always best method (since solo swunting Caraboks gives you a lot of evade skills, that you need later on to avoid dmg): Deposit 20 Bucks and go out Swunting or simple Hunting. (AGAIN Not recommended!)

Everytime i speak of "get a wep" i mean one of the Pistols from TT or from another player who sells some of the Eco weapons like the S.I. Scorpion - don't buy Armor or a Wep off auction for now, since you don't need them and you don't have the skills for it.

Even I'm still beeing a nub, I think I can help you with the start thing, it's really that hard, took me 3 toons to figure it out. First thing you might wanna finish all quests from ACA without shooting or killing anything, so you will end up with a blade, a pistol, a laser rifle and a few other stuff that will be usefull later. Once you finish these quests you can go to Celeste Quarry with your starter stuff and go sweat carabocks, you might also consider passing through IFN terminal and getting Carabock quests, so with you have you might be able to make some extra PED for gear / gun improvement, in one week of playing I already have 2 non (L) weapons a refiner and a rookie Terramaster, notice that those you can repair and they last for very long time.

If I were you I would contact support and ask them to delete those "toons" or Avatars as you are only allowed one account.

And those unlimited weapons you speak about I hope that's the TT weapons, and not the old school non SIB ones (will show: Skill Increase Bonus: Never) as those are terrible expensive to use

On Topic: See what Ridan and Caillend posted already

Oh I already did that, what I meant I started over 3 times, with the deletion and re-creation of the same account.
