Past thursday, whilst installing lighting from on top of a scaffold on wheels, the scaffold tilted and fell over with me on it. My left leg got caught between two bars and was shattered as i hit the ground. The pain was and is terrible. I am writting this from my hospital bed. In blood soaked plastercast and held together by plates and screws. On strong medication morfine pump.

ouch man, sorry to hear that. Now I know again why I don't trust those rolling scaffolding's.
Was this during your job or something you did privately?
The 'Arbeidsinspectie' will be all over this I quess.

Hope you get well soon, but I guess it will take a while.

Morphine blows, tell them to give you Fentanyl instead. Condolences on the "stacking" mate. Rest up and get well soon.

If Morphine isn't working then Fentanyl is an option or Tramadol. Make sure they are giving paracetamol as it works in Synergy with Morphine. If nauseated then an anti-emetic is required.

...and slap the orthopod who put that cast on, shameless they left it so bloody dirty! Blood on bandages out of the OT, poor form ortho guys!

If you are a non-smoker you should be healing well by the 8 weeks mark!

    ouch ... get well sone.

I am getting Tramadol 50Mg 3 times a day. ( Taking one now at 14H00). Its a small capsule. The reason why my cast got bloodsoaked is due to surgery and immediatelly afterwards. It makes no sense to replace the cast now whilst in hospital cos it may ruin how everything was set exactly in place. Also they are keeping a keen eye to see if there occurs anymore bleeding afterwards. I was also assured that they will never send me home with a cast like this.

Thanks for all the well wishing guys. You lift my spirit and Arkadians are the best of the best of the best.
